- College has sufficiently invested in infrastructure and you will find exactly what you need. Neither too much nor too little
- Faculty is amazing, ready to help and really really experienced and they might be the first faculty I have seen who want to constantly upskill themselves
Dislikes
- Campus Life is strict with strict time entries and fines for late entries
- When you enter in 1st year they make you go through a 3 month lockdown period to protect you from ragging and it consists of you being followed around by bodyguards called bouncers and you living in special wings in the hostel with gates on them and you have to be behind the gates by 5pm and you can't leave for 3 months and it's mandatory
Remarks :
There was a cutoff of 438 marks in 2021 for this college in the general quota and then there was a counselling round that occurred and for which we came to the college and just submitted the documents and fees with no interviews or written tests as such. The entire process was systematic and they help you throught the process. They do keep your original 10th and 12 th boards certificate and only release it after you have completed the course. The college is actually amazing and the campus vibes are also immaculate but the rules are a bit tough and strict and to many might feel too imposing. If you are not one to stick to strict in times and actions that occur when said rules are not abided then I suggest you get a flat on rent which are easy to find and may cost you anywhere between 16000-28000 per month depending on the area in which you live
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course: MBBS JNMC is a very esteemed college which was established in 1963. This is a very prestigious college and the faculty here is actually amazing. In many medical colleges you might find that only certain department has good teachers but here mostly all of them are good and approachable, but some do stick out. All the faculty here from 1st year MBBS to 4th are highly qualified and have many years of experience and are most definitely not novices and this is a good place for research endeavours as well. The term exams were timely but the only thing is that the schedule is released late and it leaves the students in anticipation but other than that the exams are conducted properly in examination halls and with strict invigilance and in finals exams invigilators come from other colleges to conduct examination to ensure fairness. All exams are monitored under cctv so there isn't a chance of cheatinf
Internships Opportunities :
There is absolutely no chance you so internship anywhere else if you want your degree from Karnataka medical council. It's just how it works in the medical field. The stipend you get here is 15000 per month only. I know it's measely but it's all you have got
Placement Experience :
There are no placements in the medical field. Thanks to NMC now there is a new rule of compulsory internship from the college you graduated from so no chance of anything. Most of us give NEET PG so there's that
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees:1655000 Development fees: 165000 Other fees: 2500 Health card : 2500 If you are a Karnataka resident then you can avail KEA quota via NEET UG counselling process and usually a range of 600-700marks in NEET from KEA quota get admission and their fees in total duration of the course is only 5 lakhs rupees. There is a provision for NRI students as well and you only have to have a proof of foreign residence which could be you or a close relative as well and their yearly fees is around 30 lakhs
Campus Life :
Unfortunately this college lacks clubs, or fests. You can definitely go visit INVICTUS in manipal or AFMC in Pune both of which are only 8hrs bus rides away from belgaum but good luck getting attendance even if you are participating. There is a photography club and a theatre club but amount of activities occurring is on the lower side. The library hands down is the best I have seen with absolutely crazy amount of books. If you are studying MBBS then rest assured there is no book you will not find here. Sports is very neglected in this college and they are not very keen on promoting it either. Hostel Facilities :
You can apply for hostel room when you come for counselling only. The hostel rooms cost around 1,21,000 for the entire year which contains the mess as well. The mess here is actually very decent and i personally like eating here and it's hygienic. The menu is decided by the students themselves. All they have to do is tell the hostel representative and he will include it in the menu. You get breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Timings are from 7:30 Am to 9:30 am for breakfast and 12:30 to 2 Pm for lunch, 5-6Pm for snacks, 8-9:30Pm for dinner. I have explained about the living in an apartment situation in an above paragraph

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
