Likes
- The infrastructure is very well maintained, the greenery around the campus.
- The faculty is also very good and helpful, people from various parts of the country make it diverse and no ragging is present at the college makes it easier for students to live and interact socially.
Dislikes
- The sports exposure can be increased by supporting and boosting more in the sports field of the college.
- The hostel fees should be lesser and more affordable with more facilities.
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose this college was the placement rate of the college for my interested course i.e Computer Science and Engineering which was better than other colleges in the state, also the infrastructure of the overall campus is very well maintained and beautifully built with great architect and good greenery around the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was keen and interested in this course since my 12th standard and so did i chose the same in the college and of the various fields and opportunities being provided in the campus. The faculty here has been very helpful and they are very well experienced and knowledgable teachers who are good at problem solving skills and easy to reach out for help and clarify your doubts whatsoever. FAs are frequently taken around once in a week, STs twice-thrice in a month and End term examinations are held at the end of the respective semester. The classrooms are also well equipped with projectors, whiteboards, centralised air conditioners, good and comfortable seating.
Internships Opportunities :
No I had not opted for any internship because i will be looking forward for the higher studies and that is the reason but otherwise the internship opportunities available in the college are vast enough for any student who is interested in it.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is that you should have maintained at least 7.5+ Cgpa with no active backlogs. Renowned companies like JP morgan, Flipkart, Zomato, Samsung, Nykaa, Plum, Seimens, Swiggy, HCL, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Infosys etc. are among the recruiters in the campus. The highest package offered for this year was around 30-40 LPA whereas the average package must be around 5-7 LPA. And by this time around 80-85% students have been placed from the campus. I am looking forward to go for higher studies after getting the degree that is why I have opted out of the placement activities in the campus.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The academic fees here is being paid on semester basis which is of 6 months and for the batch of 2021 it has been INR 82,000 per semester for BE CSE and it remains same throughout the course. The tuition fees, development fees, lab fees and other compulsory fees is included within the academic semester fees but one time registration fees of INR 10,000 was being charged at the time of admission.
Campus Life :
Annual Cultural fest known as Rangrezz was conducted in the year 2024 after a break of around 3-4 years but i dont exactly know the reason why it was stopped but overall it was a very good social and artistically good event which had as many events related to art, music, drama, dance and other cultural events around the campus for 2 days. The library is equipped with almost each and every type of book and journal you may want to read and very well built, each department has their own library among their respective blocks. Sports such as Cricket, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Pickleball, Table Tennis, Roller hockey, Chess, Carrom, Snooker and pool are being present at the campus. Many social clubs related to Theatre acting, dance, music, yoga, gymnastics, language speaking and tech clubs are also being present in the campus.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is decent enough with variety of food being provided at four intervals of the day starting with Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and at last Dinner. The registration process for hostel is quite easy where you can just reach out to the hostel department office and allot yourself a room according to your need from options among the 3-sharing, 4-sharing, single sharing rooms with AC and Non-AC as per your convenience. I'm currently residing in a Non-AC single sharing room with attached washroom.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
