Chitkar - pros and cons

- The events held are quite good and enjoying
- The curriculum here is industry oriented which I think is a plus point.
Dislikes
- The campus size might seem less to many of the students.
- The no. of cricket grounds is 1 which is less compared to number of students.
Remarks :
One of the main reason was fees as the other option that I had was very expensive and the other is it is near to where I live. It is very easy to get admission as there are counselling rounds for every percentage in 12th.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum here is quite good you get the hands on experience on the first day of your college itself as you will start with a programming language and front end development in the first sem itself
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship till now but my seniors have , and their stipend is more than 10000 and upto 40000 with the time period going upto even one year , I am not aware of any projects or tasks.
Placement Experience :
We do have placements here , the highest has gone upto 40lacs and average upto 7-8 lacs , I dont have the no. of offers and recuiters in my knowledge for know but I know that the placement percentage is more than 50%
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Its 1.5 lacs per semester and hostel fees is not included in this. I am not aware of any reservation quota or something like that as all my batchmates have paid the same as mine so there is no relaxation as of my knowledge
Campus Life :
The fest mainly are Rangrez and Pitaara nights where many celebs show up concluding it with a great party night and there are time to time sports competition held where teams participate and can win casj prizes as well
Hostel Facilities :
My hostel is Archimedes and believe me the rooms are quite spacious and I have attached washroom and bathroom with my room as well . But the rent is way too much 72000 with mess and laundry included per semester . the mess's food is average , as expected.

Placement Experience :
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work

Placement Experience :
The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
