Remarks :
Earlier, admission was through KCET, but now students must take the NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test). There was no Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI) in the process.The cut-off varied by branch, with Computer Science and AI having the highest ranks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Qualified faculty. Teaching is decent, but some rely on PPTs. Exams are moderately tough. Practical learning is good but most of the syllabus is theory and needs real-world applications. Mainly focuses on your branch.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies often provide internships to selected candidates with a decent stipend. Many students get roles in software development and graduate trainee. Companies select candidates based on CGPA, skills and assessments.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility for placements requires 60%+ in academics, no backlogs, and good technical & soft skills. Companies like Nutanix, IG Deloitte,IBM and many others visit, offering around 80-85% placements. Highest package: rs 25 LPA, Average: rs 6-7 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
NMIT is a part of nitte university now and you need to write NUCAT exam. The fee structure depends on your branch. You can refer to the brochure for more details about admission and fee structure.Government Scholarships – SC/ST/OBC students receive aid from the Karnataka government.
Campus Life :
Campus has clubs (Coding, Robotics, Cultural). Fest ANAADYANTA happens in March. Library has most of the required books and international journals. Good sports & Wi-Fi, but hostel food needs improvement.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Fees: rs 1,20,000 per year. The hostel has well-maintained rooms, 24/7 security, Wi-Fi, and study areas. The mess food is average, with a rotating menu of South and North Indian dishes, but taste and variety could be better. Hostel registration is online, based on availability. If renting outside, PGs in Yelahanka cost rs 7K-8K per month.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
