Dislikes
- The study pressure of architecture students through out the year.
- The college students are divided by communities and often fight among each other me being from west bengal couldn't find any group as such. But this does not effect the student's life until and unless you want to engage in such activities. But sometimes there are communities like north east community which help students feel like they belong to the college. This has both pros and cons of its own.
- The administrative department of this college works very slowly, they might take a whole year to refund the exempted fee for the EWS students.
Remarks :
MNIT Jaipur stands 7th in the list of NITs. It is one of the best NITs with a good campus life and ragging free environment. The campus has good connectivity as well, close to railway stations and airport also it resides in the city. The overall experience of the college was good so far. The mess food is also good, one won't find cockroaches or flies in their food. The faculty is very interactive in my Architecture department , and are highly trained. But for people coming from southern or eastern part of India no non-veg food is provided in the mess except for eggs. But swiggy and instant food delivery guys are allowed inside the campus. The overall aspects of this college is pretty good compared to other NITs in the region. For admission in B.tech one must clear JEE mains with a percentile of above (96) For CSE one needs to score above 99.6 percentile. And for B.Arch one must Pass the JEE mains paper 2 with a percentile of above (98) to get in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose architecture because of the vast knowledge there is to gain from this course. One learns about the construction of the buildings, the materials that are used, physical modelling, software modelling and most importantly how to plan a building. It is a very tough and hectic course but if you have the spirit you can be an architect. All the faculties in MNIT for this course are very qualified some are from MNIT itself and few from SPAs also. Most of them are doctorate and some of them are not that good. Some teach really well while some don't one must cope up here. Exams for architecture are easy one has to complete assignments without sleep for the whole semester and during exam time one can chill and go for movies. This is because the exams of architecture course are really easy. The exam pattern is as follows- One mid term - 30 marks and one end term 50 marks in one semester(6 months)
Internships Opportunities :
For my B.Arch course it is necessary to go for internship in the 8th semester. But you have to find the internship company by yourself by providing them your portfolio. Being a reputed college many companies give good opportunities to learn from their firm. If one is willing to work a little hard, they can easily get good internship opportunities. Currently I am targeting for a summer internship program during the 2 months summer break from MAY to JULY.
Placement Experience :
There are many companies that come and provide job opportunities many students go for off campus placements and many opt for placements but dont compare the salary of B.Tech and B.Arch as architecture students are like doctors more the experience more the salary. The entry salary varies from 6lakhs to 12 lakhs per annum. The placement packages are increasing slowly indeed. Whereas for B.Tech the salary average lies between 10-20 lakhs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For B.arch course , the tuition fee per semester(6 months period) of GEN students is 62,500 OBC and EWS(Income 1 lakh to 5 lakh PA) is 20,834 SC/ST EWS ( below 1 lakh) is 0 The college has an official e-mail where they provide students with various scholarship opportunities as well.
Campus Life :
The campus life is amazing. A student can never be in MNIT JAIPUR and bored Bored at the same time. So many activities to do, one can always be engaged. The college conducts 2 fests. One technical fest (SPHINX) during november and one cultural fest (BLITSCHLAG) during february. The college has a central library with unlimited books the college provides one e-library subscription for free. The college provides some architectural softwares for free as well. The college has nearly 10-20 clubs like photography, debate, music two dance crews the MC square and level-X. All kind of sports facilities are there with each having their own team to compete in the inter-NIT competition. The architecture department is also connected with the NASA(National Association of Students of Architecture). The overall engagement of students into various activities are very high here.
Hostel Facilities :
I have been living a hostel life for 2 years now. The hostels here are very old they are stone built 50 years old designed by Achiyut Kanvinde but are well maintained. There are few old hostels and some of them are very new one got constructed in the year of 2025. One is under construction. No matter how old the buildings were the memories i made with my friends are still fresh. Going to hostel mess and cursing the food was a daily task since we were staying in a shared room of 3. Though the mess food was pretty good. The menu would repeat itself after every week , they provide ice creams and good quality sweets with pure veg food. (eggs on friday) The hostel fee structure is as follows - total per semester (32k) for mess food- 20k for electricity and water - 6k and room rent - 6k

Course Curriculum Overview :
I heard that btech is no one here for academics and placements for women so its worth it. There are lots of sports opportunities wherever you want you can achieve like horse riding squash etc. theres aviation as well for the girls to fly and achieve their dreams

Yes, students had gotten placements via college in banking and private companies because after completing graduation i also got an opportunity through college but due to some circumstances, i hadn’t got that chance.

You just have to be a student of last year for applying in internship programs and placements. You have to master any skill and then you can get placement. Many small companies helds campaigns in the university and appoint students for job. The average package is around 20-30 per annum. The highest is around 40 to 50 lakh and lowest is around 10 to 20 lakh per annum. 60% of students gets placement in companies . My plans after getting the degree are to master a skill and then apply for a job in a well known company.

I really don't like placement of jecrc bcoz I don't see mt senior going to a great company out campus they are achieving good but in our campus we don't really get into good company they should have increased the number of companies in our college

Campus recruitment training is provided to all course students and it depends on the student whether they want to opt for it or not. After CRT, different companies come to the campus for their recruitment drive.

There is no campus placement here. Students who passed out from here some are finding jobs, some had their good family business and just wanted to get a degree and some started their own startup. College don't provide you any future security.

As every engineering college we get high placements in circuital branches but for non circuitals senior advice to study a particular language , DSA and all to get placements which is somewhere right because chances of circuital branch jobs are high.
