Likes
- The campus is widely diversified and built in a large area with lot of space from building to building.
- I like the area in which the college is built. It is far from the city.
Dislikes
- The weather in and around the college. The summer seasons are very horrible. Generally north Karnataka has more temperature than south part of Karnataka.
- The course schedule is too vast. I personally dislike the college timings. The college timings are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Remarks :
The students will get admission in various MBBS colleges based on the scores they achieved in the medical entrance exam called NEET-UG. So student need to apply for various colleges during counselling process. Till the final result of the counselling, student will not know which college they will get. Admission is completely based on the neet rank and cutoff for that particular college for the specific category.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The MBBS is a 5.5 year course. It includes one full year of compulsory rotatory internship which includes all the pre-clinical, clinical and post-clinical subjects. The remaining 4.5 year is divided into to 4 phases, the first 3 phases is of 1 year and the last/final year is of 1.5 year. The faculty available in this college is highly knowledgeable persons. They are easily accessible any time during the college hours. One final university exam will be conducted at the end of the each year. Also three internal exams will be conducted in each year with an interval of three months.
Internships Opportunities :
All Students who have completed 4.5 year of course must and should complete one year of internship in the college’s musty speciality hospital itself. Interns will be exposed to all clinical, preclinical and postclinical subjects.
Placement Experience :
Many MBBS graduated students do not prefer to go for a job with only an MBBS degree. Almost all prefer to do a post graduation course in any one the subject in which they are interested in. The students are compulsory need to complete one full year of internship in the college’s musty speciality teaching hospital only. The stipend offered is 30,000 per month. The stipend varies from government colleges and private colleges and also from state to state.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The MBBS program is a 5.5 year course. The fee structure of government colleges in Karnataka in GIMS is 97500 per year. This includes the tuition fees of 65100 per year and other fees. Scholarship will be offered for all the students whose parents annual income is less than 10 lakh per annum. The amount provided as scholarships vary for different categories. The minimum amount provided is 50,000 and maximum is for SC/ST students which is around 80,000.
Campus Life :
In this college every month food fest will be conducted. The campus also has a library with full access to all the students. The library is open 24/7, which helps the students easily accessible any time they want to. The classrooms or so called lecture halls are very large enough as it should accommodate all 150 students. The lecture hall has all the amenities, it has full AC, two digital projectors as the explanation will be done in PPT’s.
Hostel Facilities :
The college also provides hostel facility for all the MBBS students. The hostel building for boys has 7 floors with 30 rooms in each floor. The rooms are with attached washrooms. 3 students are required to stay in each room. The hostel rooms are equipped with metal cot, study table and chair for each student. I was compromised with the food facility from mess. The mess fees was low as 3000 per month.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
