Life at IIIT Dharwad
Remarks :
The sole reason I chose this college was that it was IIIT. I had to give JEE Mains for the admission, after that cutoff came for each category, and then finally seat allocation procedure began, in which I got Data Science and AI branch in this college as per my JEE rank
Course Curriculum Overview :
There were good courses, which helped us to gain interest and exposure in ML domain to a great extent. The exams were scheduled well with only one paper a day, though no gaps would be given between exams on other date. It used to be 6 days for 6 papers until the was a weekend in between
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Annually, tuition fees was 274000 (13700 0 per sem), hostel rent was 40 thousand (20 thousand per sem) and then mess fees was 40 thousand (20 thousand per sem), so altogether, hostel fee was 80 thousand, and it took 354000 annually (3 lakh 54 thousand). No other charges
Campus Life :
If someone is interested in attending events, going out, interacting with different people, then it's a great place to be. Many events are organised time to time. You get to meet lot of great and different people. You can roam around in the campus at nights also, which is restricted for girls till 11 PM. Apart from that there is IIT also in the same city, so you also get a few of their events to attend. There are many other things in and around Dharwad, so you'll enjoy these things. Weather is also very pleasant usually, so you can enjoy trips to these places without actually caring about harsh weather
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel conditions were poor. Though self responsibility of hygiene is understood from a undergraduate student, but still there was no cleaning service at rooms at all. Laundry was a bit issue. On the other hand, this college probably has the worst mess of all the JOSAA colleges. Food is the worst both quality wise and quantity wise, the mess staff is also very poor sometimes in terms of communication.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
