- The students are very intelligent and capable individuals, with multiple being all rounders. The placement and coding culture is exemplary,
- There is a lot of greenery in the campus.
Dislikes
- The campus is small, there is not much room to move around. There is almost no space for clubs and student activities. The student activity center is horrifyingly small.
- The sports facilities are not properly maintained. Sports equipment is mostly missing or faulty.
Remarks :
The college's excellent placement record, high average and median packages, and a good coding and overall technical culture is what prompted me to chose this college. However, the academic structure is rigorous and campus life is a little compromised.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academic curriculum is pretty hectic most of the times. The exams are challenging, so it will require a lot of time and work. But you'll learn one way or the other. Most of the faculty is helpful but only if you reach out. I'm not happy with the term exam schedule but it has been improving over the last couple semesters.
Internships Opportunities :
I'm currently in my 4th semester and have not opted for any internships so far. The internship season typically starts with the start of the fifth semester, when multiple on campus and off campus opportunities open up for students.
Placement Experience :
IIIT Allahabad boasts of a very good placement and internship record, even during regression. Eligibility criteria mostly involves having a good cgpa. Many reputed companies such as Google, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Oracle, Intuit, Sprinklr, MSCI, Cisco and many others visit IIIT Allahabad for recruitment. Average package in 2024 was 26 LPA, highest was 1.21 Cr PA, and the placement rate was 93%. I personally plan on securing a financially rewarding job after completing B. Tech. from here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
One time fees include 2750/- admission fee, 1100/- enrollment fee, 1100/- ID card fee, 8800/- Alumni Fund. Annual Fees for 1st year includes 1650/- in welfare funds and 1100/- library fees. Tuition fees is 60k per semester, Hostel fees is 6k per semester for a double occupancy room. Student council fees 1100/- Exam fee 1100/- Grade card fee 550/- Medical fee 550/- Transport fees 300/- So the total of first semester is 86100/- and for second semester is 69600/- In addition to this, the mess charges are 12k per semester.
Campus Life :
You'll find multiple people with similar interests as you, which is nice. Many people pursue many different things. The students here are interesting and intellectual individuals. Good crowd for academic as well as social reasons. The academic library has many books relating to almost every field. There are multiple student run clubs, like dance, music, drama, art, photography and the literary club. The cultural fest Effervescence happens for 3-4 days every year, and so does the sports fest, Asmita. We also have a technical fest, Aparoksha for 3-4 days in even semesters. We also have an entrepreneurship cell, a robotics society, many technical societies, and other such clubs.
Hostel Facilities :
The mess is pretty hygienic. The food is good. Most of the hostel rooms and washrooms in the girls hostel are cleaned regularly. However, rooms are a little small and less in number so if you report late for admission, you might have to adjust with having more than 1 roommate. The Girls hostels are located within the campus while Boys hostels are located right outside. The registration process is smooth and does not take more than half a day.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
