- The campus is 192 acres. It’s huge. Well maintained. We have canteens in almost every corner. We have gym, bank, supermarket etc.. almost everything that we want is available inside the campus.
- We get to meet different kinds of people every day. You will get to see people from different backgrounds here enabling us to understand their culture well. One of my friend from Bihar even tought me Hindi!
Dislikes
- Despite the normal bus timings they provide bus during afternoon hours also. During those times only specific routes are available and the bus count is less. The crowd while catching the bus is so much. Getting a seat is so tough.
- Almost all Saturday is working day. We even have exams on Sunday if our slot falls on that date. There afternoon session exams making it difficult for day scholars as there is no proper transportation facilities.
Remarks :
I searched this had mechanical with specialisation courses. Doing a minor will be an advantage for me compared to other mechanical engineers. I was inspired by their curriculum and the varieties of non graded courses that they provide which would allow me to focus on my hobbies and interests. Their tie up with other foreign institutions and industries is obviously a plus point. To join here the only way is through their entrance exam VITEEE. There are a total of 125 questions with a duration of 2hrs 30mins. There is no negative marking. Portions are from 11th and 12th syllabus. Students well versed in the basic concept can easily get a good rank. I went through NCERT and PYQ.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I want to study Aerospace engineering. After full research and help with other people I decided to do mechanical engineering as an undergraduate degree and pursue aerospace for MTech. This will ensure my basics are strong and I will also have various job opportunities in future. In this college we get to choose our faculties. They will provide us with the educational background of all the faculties. Most of them are highly experienced with many research papers in their name. There are also certain professors with very good outside connections. There are 3 exams in total for a course. Cat 1,cat 2, FAT. all exams here are relative grading except the lab exams. Your grade depends upon how your entire class performs. Going through the materials provided by the faculties are more than enough to pass. CAT 2 is usually tough because it is open note book. We are allowed to take in our hand written noted during the examination.
Internships Opportunities :
They give special training’s and help us getting placed or getting an internship. Internships are also provided in research organisations helping us to expand our knowledge in the area of our interest.
Placement Experience :
I am a 1st year student so I don’t know about the placements yet. But all I know is that no matter our department we will get a job in some software jobs for sure. In 2024 there were 867 companies that visited. Highest CTC 88 LPA and average was 9.9LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission here is purely merit based depending on our performance in the VITEEE entrance exam. Each one of us will be allocated a rank and a counselling date. I acquired a rank of 32986 and got phase 2 counselling. I wanted mechanical engineering with specialisation in AI and ML and I got it in category 1 in chennai campus. The fees structure per year for category 1 students are 195000. In the 1st year alone an extra amount of 3000 must be paid. Depending on the demand of the course and the phase of counselling the category depends. For example a person with the same rank as mine would get only category 4 or 5 in Cs department. There are also 4 campuses Vellore, Chennai, Ap, Bhopal. Vellore is the one usually in demand and people with rank less than 20000 I.e phase 1 counselling will get in with less fees. My friends currently studying data science got seat under category 5 with a rank of 25k in Chennai campus and EEE in category 2 and 3.
Campus Life :
We have 2 annual festival every year. One is the technical one called TechnoVit which occurs during the month of September and the one is the cultural one called Vibrance which is held in March usually. These occur for 3 days each. They are a lot of events and all of them are conducted by the members of the clubs. The library is my favourite place. It has a wide range of books genre from academics to comics. During exam times they are open until 12 AM. We have basketball court, cricket pitch,tennis court,2 grounds and the sports room is well equipped. There are almost 50 plus clubs here and all of them are run by students with one or two faculty Heads. We have clubs for music, dance, sports etc. we have a lot of clubs having different goals. These variety’s of clubs ensure that our interest are satisfied. It provides a way to improve and apply our knowledge in the area of our interest.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
