The review of BMS College, neither good nor bad.
Likes
- The rooms are well lot, the labs are okay. The location is good.
Dislikes
- The classrooms are small and there is no to little internet connectivity. The campus is extremely small and overcrowded. There isn't much of a college life.
Remarks :
The college was my last option. It's not a bad college so I chose it. It gives ok opportunities to students. You have to work really hard to get it as the strength is really high here. The admission process is simple. They ask you to fill certain forms,check your certificates and then confirm your admission in 10-15 days. To prepare for the admission exams you have to study well in 11th and 12th standard.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is a little outdated, they are trying to make it relevant now but some subjects taught are still outdated and not very relevant. I chose this course as I have always been fascinated by technology. The faculties are qualified but they are not very helpful. Some are polite and good but some are really arrogant. They are not very knowledgeable either.The teaching method is bad and outdated. The term exams are held every 4-5 months. The difficulty is not very hard, medium only.
Internships Opportunities :
A few companies come for internships, they take 30-40% students for internships. Stipend varies for all the companies. Averaging about 20000-25000 per month. Though most of the local students get internships first.
Placement Experience :
Placements are average, you have to work hard to get selected because the college strength is a lot. Most companies look for 8-8.5+ CGPA,no active backlogs. Offers made last year were about 1200, 300+ companies came. The highest package was around 35lpa, average 10lpa. About 65% students get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees is nearly 240000 every year, they charge exam fees and university fees upto 7-8k and miscellaneous fees upto 20000. So overall 270000 per year. Every batch has to pay the same amount for 4 years. The fee increases 8-10% for every next batch. They have to pay that same feeling over the next 4 years of their degree Local students through kcet exam have to pay around 1 lakh a year and comedk exam students 270000 to 300000. Scholarships are there for local SC ST students. Not for the students from our of state.
Campus Life :
There are 2 fests phase shift and Utsav, conducted in winter and summer respectively. Books are available in library but during exam time it's hard to get your hands on one. There are not a lot of copies of books.There isn't much sporting activities in college as it has a very small ground.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is good but they charge an extremely high hostel fees which isn't worth the service provided at all. The rooms are average sized and mostly double sharing. Most hostels are not located within college campus.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
