Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.

- Infrastructure, the classrooms, Library ,labs all are air conditioned and very neat. Even hostel rooms are also very good in terms of neatness and facilities.
Dislikes
- Faculty, because some of them are not at all interested in teaching students, only they read the ppts and go. Even when we want to complain about that there should be unity among the 60 students (entire class) otherwise things won't work.
- Canteen rates are very high. Even for 1 plain dosa costs 80 rupees in the campus. That is very high I feel. This thing is very disappointing. And even when we order outside, they include travelling charges, tax etc and makes it high.
Remarks :
I am an EAMCET student. I had alloted to this college . Generally students join here by SRMJEE exam . They are selected based on the exam results. No interviews and no tension. But for the students who joined by SRMJEE exam , the fees is very high , around 4 to 5 lakhs. And I feel that this amount is very very high for what they teach .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum is good. And coming to academics , some faculty has no experience to teach and control some students. They have a good knowledge but no experience in teaching well. There are 1 mid and 1 end sem exams . Apart from that there are 4 CLAs those are continuous Learning Assesments. It will be fine for an average student to study a night before to pass in the exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Currently I am doing a summer research intern under the guidance of one of my faculty at SRM . In your 2nd year ending , you must also do an internship, it may be inside the campus or outside offline , but for that you must submit that letter to the CRCS department. Within the college the internship opportunities are limited and it is very competitive. My luck I have got one. And there are credits for the summer intern .
Placement Experience :
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As I am an EAMCET student , for me the tution fees is around 1 lakh but the college make extra charges around 15 to 20k yearly. For SRMJEE students, it goes up to Rs. 4,00,000 and even more. And the mess fees is 70k lat year but this year it was increased to 85k . And the hostel fee varies from 30k to 1 lakh 30k for boys . Boys have 10 sharing non ac . But girls have 4 sharing bunker as last option . And 2 sharing is the first option and it is 1 lakh 30k yearly. It is mandatory to pay the mess fees if you are a hostler .
Campus Life :
There are many clubs like dance , music, wellness , badminton etc. Fests like Infinitus , Ameya (BBA fest) , etc will be conducted every year. To participate in Infinitus, students must pay. Not for other fests. And sports are ok ok. There are good coaches . If you are really interested in sports there are good coaches who boosts you. And some clubs have seniors priority, less chances to new students. Library is good , air conditioned.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 4 hostel blocks for students godavari narmada krishna yamuna. Each year we have to opt for the hostel type like 4 sharing ac, 3 non ac like that , room will be automatically allocated . Rooms are good and for every 2 days cleaning aunties will come and clean our rooms. And mess food is ok ok , sometimes not at all good, some days better. Hostel rooms and tution fees should be paid via SRM student portal .

Placement Experience :
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
