Honest Review of IIT Ranchi: Academics, Placements & Campus Life
Remarks :
Most important thing is that if your living in the northern part of country and your rank is between 35000-50000 and you want to pursue your btech career in Computer science branch then you must pursue this college as this the best college which gives better placement/cost of studying ratio than any other IITs and some NITs. It's average package for Computer science branch is approx 16-17 lacs per annum and highest placement in the previous year is around 55 lac per annum. It's only negative point is it's infrastructure it doesn't have their own campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen Btech in computer science and machine learning. Because it was my dream to become a software engineer. And I pursued it through IIT ranchi. For admission in that college you have to give an examination of JEE mains and get a good ranking o tthe basis of that ranking you will get admission in that course. admission process is quite simple you have to get offer later from jossa counseling which was the next process after qualifying for Jee mains examination. There is eight semester and in every semester you have to take an exam.Fee Structure Review.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First you have to make payment at the admission and all the fees you have to pay after the end of each semester 1 years consist 2 semester and there is total of 8 semester so you have to. Make the payments 8 times it means overall tution fee is 1300000 In year 2024 so i have to pay approx 170000 each semester.
Campus Life :
There is no. Campus right now in the college. But Faculties here in IITs Ranchi is quite supportive one thing I noticed is they genuinely interested in students to help them to placed all their students and they actively engaged in students project work and help them to solve any problem arising out.they give us tasks to improve our understanding in computer software and how to deal. With any technical. Issues and examine us in regular basis. At the end of one semester they conduct review examination of all the student
Hostel Facilities :
institute does not have its own permanent hostel campus so students are accommodated in nearby private hostels and premium rented rooms arranged by the institute. The rooms are of good quality well maintained and equipped and mess food is average on most days with a decent variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian meals However, the quality and menu improve noticeably on weekends.

One has to get a good cpga for placement in the fourth year. The big companies like Google, TV's, adrosonic, Infosys, Intel, Microsoft and so on visits the campus and give placements. The highest package is around 82 lakhs and median is around 10 lakhs.

And number of students getting paced is 94%, to be exact.

Placement Experience :
Placement is good at IIIT Ranchi. The average package in 2023 was 17 LPA for CSE and 16 LPA for ECE and median package was 13.32 LPA and Highest was 46 LPA. One student got highest package of 83 LPA which was offered by Atlasian. Many Reputed recruiters companies visits campus which include Tata, Infosys, amazon , Deloitte etc.

It have good placement and job oppertunities. CGPA is main criteria for elligibility. few visitors are GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, FLIPKART, JIO, RELIANCE, CIL, ONGC, etc. highest package is 54 Lpa. average package is 10 lpa.
