Choosing SIAS was influenced by various factors. Here are some reasons of mine for choosing SIAS. 1. Academic reputation: SIAS is well known for its academic excellence and industry-oriented programs. 2. Facilities and resources: SIAS offers modern infrastructure, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library that supports academic pursuits. 3. growth opportunities: SIAS provides various opportunities for internships, research projects and industry interactions, skill development programs, and global exposure. 4. Location and atmosphere: The serene surroundings of Vazhayur and the peaceful atmosphere at SIAS, contributed to a conducive learning environment. 5. Positive feedback from alumni, current students, or others who have had experiences with SIAS influenced me. Bad aspects: Limited extracurricular activities, location constraints since Vazhayur is a rural area and hot temperature. I got admitted in the merit quota. No interviews and exams presently.
I’m more interested in computer learning so I chose BSc computer science. Also, SIAS is well known for the Course. They provide all the facilities for the course. About faculties: The institution boasts a team of experienced facilities who are experts in their domain and are dedicated to providing quality education to students in a very friendly way. Most faculty members hold advanced degrees in Master’s or Ph.D. Internal exams were conducted, well faculties prepared questions from previous years which gave us an idea of how upcoming exams are going to be. The difficulty level was fine. As it is a self-finance college, I find the fee structure to be fair as the college provides all the facilities. Scholarships are less because of being a self-finance college. But there are scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, or extra curricular achievements.
No, I haven’t yet. But I’ve heard of many companies. I’ve heard of a company named Skolar. They recently contacted me. But I decided to do internships from the 2nd year. From the first year, I would like to build my basics and concentrate on my studies. It would help me to develop my skills.
The recruiter visit in sias are Infosys TCs Techh mahindra Cognizant Accenture IBM Capgemini Wipro HCL technologies Amazon Google Microsoft Deloitte Ernst & young PwC Oracle Students should typically meet minimum GPA or percentage throughout the academic year. Companies may specify eligibility criteria based on the student’s academic performance in specific subjects. While some companies may recruit students from all years as some may target the final years . During Recruitment drives, companies may conduct interviews, assessment, and presentations to identify potential candidates for internships . Additionally these companies may engage with SIAS industry academic partnerships, guest lectures, workshops and other collaborative activities aimed enhancing students industry readiness. The percentage of getting placements varies from year to year. My plan is to do internships , attend interviews, develop my skills and get placed to a well known IT company.
Life at the campus offers a unique blend of academic, social, and cultural experiences. SIAS organizes various fest and cultural events throughout the academic year. Some of them are: Fine arts was conducted on Feb 8th and 9th to showcase the talents of students. There were both stage and nonstage items and a wide number of students participated. SIAS always conducts programs like this to provide support for the students. Singer of the campus, union inauguration, union name releasing, sports, college day, food fest, tech fest, department association inauguration, and programs were conducted. These fests not only provide entertainment, these are new experiences. On 20th February we conducted an inter-college tech fest named Technora 2.0. That was a huge success. There are many social groups and clubs like NSS,ncc, tech sites, reader’s forum, Leaders Academy, tourism club, IEDC, etc I’m a day scholar but I’ve friends in the hostel. They give very good feedback on hostel facilities.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
