Decent patient inflow comparing other colleges in Dakshina Kannada, clinical exposure. Admission is provided solely based on Neet. Cutoff varies according to yearwise due to qualification marks set at different standards by the examination committee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum-5 yrs(4yrs+1 yr of internship including rural postings) Academics- Topics vary from core dental to medical subjects Faculty-Supportive Patient inflow especially in conservative dentistry is why I went to the college Faculties are inducted on the minimum basis of qualification involving MDS or further qualifications. Terminal basis of exam i.e., Every 3 months a sessional exam will be conducted provided with internal assessment marks which determine your qualification criteria to attempt the university exam. As of now, no further hikes in fees are brought to our attention and junior batches that follow. The college will assist you with Student loans at the time of admission if you consult with them regarding the same. No worries about that.
Internships Opportunities :
Right now is a 2nd yr undergrad student I can't provide any further details on the same. But considering an internship, the final years after successful completion should go through a compulsory rotatory internship involving postings at the core 9 Dental branches in dentistry and 3 months of rural postings.
Placement Experience :
Placement criteria are bleak as this is a medical branch of studies that involves a lot of real-world scenarios and clinical skills which you will be exposed to as an undergrad which will help you to grow as a responsible and committed doctor. Trust me, a doctor never cries over placement, his/her skills should answer for the same.
Campus Life :
Cultural is the biggest event of the year which will span across a week minimum where students from varied corners of the country can be involved in programs spanning various cultural diversities of the student diaspora. The college runs an effective union which is managed by the 3rd Year of every batch, whom undertakes the coordination and conducting of programs around the year. The hostel mess menu is diverse with weekly twice non-veg options or students can choose from the college-managed catering service website, pakashala.
