I chose this college cause at the time of admission the placements were excellent for the outgoing batch. Which I must say doesn't hold good anymore. For students looking for a college while completing other competitive courses this college might be a good fit - Classes are over by 1. Those students who are completely reliant on the degree might benefit from opting for other colleges that have more exposure and goodwill in the market The college tries to be progressive with a lot of activities but none are up to the standards of colleges like Mounts, Joseph's, or Christ... The admission process: One has to submit the application form online or in college- nothing else. There are 2 categories: Aided: less fee, high cutoff Unaided: more fee, less cutoff If you are desperate for admission go for it .. it's a fun place But you cannot rely on the college for more than a degree
I chose the course cause i have a genuine interest in the subject. The college is under Bangalore Central University and all the exams will be conducted and reviewed by the university. The curriculum is not difficult at all . It covers major subjects across the semester but as all courses are practical application is minimal. There is an internal exam every semester that the college conducts and that along with some assignments and projects makes up the internal marks. The fee is affordable as opposed to other colleges and they do provide scholarships for those in need of it. The college not only has scholarships of its own but also encourages students to apply for state and central scholarships. But these scholarships like all others have a very tough bar to be eligible. The faculty keeps up with the recruitment of the university and also assists in studying with notes . The faculty also show a keen interest in arranging extracurriculars for students.
The college doesn't provide internship opportunities to all . But this is also reliant on the job market and the situation that year. All internships you want to take up must be after college hours cause the college doesn't allow /compensate attendance for an internship during the semester The students have to do one internship every semester alternating between a social internship and a corporate internship as a part of the curriculum specified by the university but the college doesn't help with either.
The college advertises itself as a college with amazing placements. But with the job market placement numbers are also variable each year. As for 2023 there were minimal options for students to choose from and were mainly BPOs and sales jobs. I wouldn't estimate the average package to be more than 3 LPA. Only the students who aren't completely reliant on the college for placements or have competitive courses should get into the college. If placements are the end goal then this college might not be a good fit.
For this course there are these fests Parivarthan(intra-college), Chakravyuh(inter-college), Vanijya Vedi(commerce exhibition), and ISR(students get to put up stalls). Apart from these main events the college organises there are other clubs in the college that organise events throughout the year that are open for the students to participate. There are multiple clubs/forums that try to get participation from the students . All clubs must have a faculty coordinator. There is a commerce forum, consumer forum, etc. The college has a mess - food is edible at best but there are tons of places surrounding the college with really tasty food. The college also provides a daily meal facility for underprivileged students The college doesn't provide any hostel facility but since it is Malleshwaram and a good locality PG options are plenty.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
