- Faculties are very skilled as well as humble. They can be approached online as well as offline.
- The college provides a healthy study ambience free from ragging as well as political distractions.
- The course is balanced and teaching is kept very easy and subtle sticking to the basics always.
Dislikes
- The hostel as well as the college fee together sums to 2lakhs a year which is high. Atleast if there are scholarship opportunities for outside students then there is a chance of balancing the tuition fee altogether.
- Hostel food is average compared to the fees taken. Also the maintenance of the hostel is not upto the mark.
Remarks :
Initially I sat for the COMEDK examination and secured a rank of 4356 in COMEDK. I wanted to pursue BE in Mechanical Engineering so when I contacted some of my seniors working in and around Bangalore, they gave me the idea that this college was a good choice for Mechanical Engineering. Also this is a Government aided college so the fees IS comparitively lesser than other colleges like Ramaiah and BMS. For admission there were no such group discussions or admission tests only the required documents that were 10th and 12th Mark sheet as well the COMEDK Counselling allotment letter was needed. The college has a good name for Mechanical Engineering so if one wants to pursue ME from Karnataka this college is a good to go option. Good aspects of the college during admission time Admission process was smooth Staff in charge of admission process were friendly enough with outside people. Bad aspects of the admission procedure Admission process took around 6 hours of time.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I took this course because I had interest in ME and I want to secure a teaching career in ME. Faculties in PESCE Mandya are highly qualified and knowledgeable, with the majority having a PhD degree from reputed colleges of Karnataka. Also faculties are highly supportive in terms of study materials. We have two types of semesters ODD and EVEN semester. An academic calendar is given at the beginning of each semester. But semester starts atleast 7 days later than the given date. Every term there are 5 units each for theory subjects and 2.5 units appear for first internals and the rest for 2nd internals. For the internal exams the level usually remains easy but for term examinations sometimes outside questions come] Fees are not same for everyone. It is more for students coming from other states and lesser for the Karnataka ones. Scholarship is not provided for Non-karnataka students only local students have access to scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship yet. Yet there were in college internships last year where we were taught about Simulations in mechanical engineering field. ALTAIR & CATIA were the two softwares that were taught to us as a part of our internship programme.
Placement Experience :
I dont have any idea about placement eligibility as I'm in prefinal year now. yet as per our seniors one needs to maintain a CGPA of 6+ for getting a moderate package. Average package is around 2.8 LPA & Highest as per last year records is around 8 LPA. 60-70% Students get placed from our department as per the recent statistics. My plans after the degree is to go for higher studies [MTech] and then appear for government examinations or apply for a teaching career.
Campus Life :
The fest conducted at PESCE Mandya is named PESCO. It happens once in a year for a couple of days [mainly in the month of May - Even semesters]. Our college has two libraries :- The main library is well equipped with all kinds of books from each and every department. Also there is a department library which has books only on the subjects taught in the department . Beside the main library there is a study space where students can get their assignments and notes done [open from 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM]. Sports are a pride of PESCE Mandya. Sport activities are conducted all around the year. Sports include Cricket , football , hockey, badminton , kabaddi , volleyball and what not. For the hostel the foof quality is average. There are three kinds of rooms in hostel ;- Single which charge 69k a year , Double room 67k and Triple rooom 65k. Menu is nothing extraordinary. Just the same south indian cuisine. Registration for the hostel is done together during the college admission process.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
