The most important factor that made me choose this college was its great NIRF ranking and NAAC Accreditation. Moreover, the fact that we can intern and use the full facilities of Kasturba Medical Hospital, a multi-specialty, state-of-the-art hospital, for case collection, patient interaction, etc; ensures that I, as an aspiring clinical pharmacist, get a great level of exposure before I start working in the field. All of this, coupled with the fantastic Infrastructure of the entire Manipal Campus as well as the diverse student population residing here, made coming to MCOPS, the easy choice amongst the other options out there. For admission, one has to get through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Cut-offs vary each year but getting an AIR below 150 in MET will secure your admission into this course. After the result declaration, there were 3 rounds of counseling, and I got through into my desired course in the first round of counseling itself.
This course checked all the right boxes for me. It isn't as intensive or time-consuming as MBBS, MD, DM, and other super specialty courses, while at the same time, this course will allow me to interact with patients and help them by prescribing personalized medication to them, as a clinical pharmacist. All the faculty of this college are PhD holders and they are very well qualified. This course is yearly, and not semester-wise, so we have 3 Theory Sessional Exams throughout the year, and 2 Lab Sessional Exams, followed by the University Exam. The difficulty levels are honestly not too high, it solely depends on the level of preparation, but the papers are designed such that around 50% of the paper has easy questions, 25% moderate, and 25% hard questions. The tuition fees remain constant and aren't hiked for each student throughout the course, but for newly entering students, tuition fees are hiked by 10% approx each year. The overall cost to study is around Rs 30 lakh.
Eligibility Criteria is that the student must have passed the course. Many big Pharma Companies like Pfizer, Novartis, Elly Lily, etc have visited our college for Campus Placement, and have successfully picked up many of the students with attractive salary packages. Around 60-70% of the students opt for higher education, rest of them get placed. My plans after getting a degree are to get placed on campus itself.
Living in Manipal will give you one of the best Campus Living experiences ever! The sheer number of colleges under MAHE, the number of students here, and the fantastic infrastructure will awe anyone who visits this beautiful town of Manipal. There are many fests conducted here by the various constituent colleges, which are open to other students too, throughout an academic year. The library is a mammoth 6-floor building, with a very high seating capacity, and the most diverse and advanced collection of books. Classrooms are very well equipped and air Conditioned, with a blackboard, whiteboard, and projector screens. Seats are very comfortable too. For sports buffs, the biggest drawing factor to Manipal is 'Marena', a state-of-the-art 5-floor building with so many sports turfs, a gym, an indoor cafe, an indoor jogging track, an indoor swimming pool, and whatnot. It's like an entire monument by itself! Hostels for boys are limited and not too good honestly. Hostels-improvement.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
