Remarks :

Firstly, I wasn't allowed to study out of the station, so I had to choose a college which is in my state Telangana. And after quite a research, I found out that there are very few architecture colleges. I preferred JNAFAU at the beginning but I couldn't get admission to that and later found Ashoka School of Planning and Architecture unlike other architecture colleges this college provides transportation which is a huge plus point cause, in the area I reside in there are no architecture colleges nearby. Almost every college has a minimum distance of 30km so I chose Ashoka mainly for the traveling ease and the campus was quite good. I wrote NATA and qualified for it and then got admitted. There was one senior of mine from my intermediate college who chose Barch and was studying at VSAP, I asked her about that college, and visited too but I wasn't satisfied with it. There are not many people who choose architecture so I had no group discussions or talks or proper guidance while admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was interested in it from my childhood, all my school report cards have it written in the goal/aim section, but lately, I was confused and wasn't stable with my choice, but I chose what I wanted back. The faculties are good at the college, well qualified, of course, it is difficult as there's no subject related to us from 1st to 10th.

Internships Opportunities :

No, I'm still studying in 2nd sem so I didn't experience any internships or placements, but my seniors did and they said it was a good experience to work on real-life projects, I might do internships later after I learn the subject from the core.

Placement Experience :

Usually, placements do not happen in the architectural course, and internships happen to be in the 9th sem which is in the last year ( 5th year ), it will last for 6 months, and after it will be the thesis. Maybe in the upcoming years, we'll have placements.

Campus Life :

We have a hostel and mess and canteen, there are huge gardens and greenery all over, it's spacious and cool. It has 2 courtyards, grounds for volleyball and throwball, a basketball court, and a cricket area. Food quality at the hostel is not that good, but they're improving little by little. @ashoka.ac is an Instagram page.

A glimpse of MRUH

Placement Experience :

The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.

Not so great

Placement Experience :

Placements and Internships The placement opportunities at my college are average, with a limited number of companies visiting the campus every year. Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

Where learning meets industry

Placement Experience :

One good thing is that placements aren't treated as something that only matters in the final year. From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. The college also shares internship opportunities and guides students through the application process. There are resume reviews, mock interviews, and career sessions that help us understand what companies expect. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

A satisfying learning journey

Placement Experience :

Best part is the college doesn't wait until the final year to talk about careers. We get opportunities to work on projects, improve our coding, build resumes, and attend interview preparation sessions from the early semesters. Internship opportunities are shared regularly and the college guides students through the application process. This has helped me gain practical experience and understand what companies expect.

Learning, growth and great memories

Placement Experience :

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

College life beyond classroom

Placement Experience :

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
