Good placements and atmosphere , bad faculty

- The infrastructure of our college is old. The buildings are 45 years old. But the computer labs have upto date computers with latest softwares installed.we also have a dedicated sports block and 2 grounds for cricket and football.
- I like the campus life of my college. It is very peaceful during the lecture hours and the faculty is very cooperative. We can also bunk periods some times without being noticed. There are no strict rules for attending all the classes. Just a 75% attendance is enough
Dislikes
- The faculty of the college is the main problem for the decline in placements in the recent years. They don't know how to teach even though they have a PhD degree with them. The just read out the material from the slides and expect us to study and score good marks in the examination.
- We have over 45 clubs in our college. Most of them are inactive. We pay money and join the club and they stay active for a while and then become dead. Our money goes to trash.
Remarks :
This college is one of the best colleges that you can get a seat in , after writing the EAMCET examination. I secured a good rank of 3000 in eamcet so I got a seat in cbit. They are no interviews when you are joining through eamcet. If you are joining through b category then they ask you for your JEE Mains rank. Our college is good for its placements and atmosphere. The students are studious and are a lot cooperative. Although the faculty is not upto the mark. The teaching of the faculty is not good enough
Course Curriculum Overview :
The court curriculum is up to the mark, but they speed up their teaching process so much that we are not able to grasp all the required concepts. Since I joined through the reservation category.I obtained this scholarship from the govei meant and I don't have to pay any fees. Although the faculties have a PhD and an Mtech degree still, they do not have the relevant teaching experience and most of them just read from the slides of the PowerPoint presentations. The semester exams are very much rushed Due to which we do not have enough time to prepare for those examinations. The difficulty level of the examinations is motor rate for an average student studying at my college. I have received a scholarship from the govt. Scheme tsepass.
Internships Opportunities :
I have applied for JPMorgan internship but didn't qualify for it. The JPMorgan company has given paid internships last year and this year as well. It is a long process to get selected for the internship. They expect us to have a good knowledge in core subjects and have a few projects.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements is that you must have GPA of 7.5 or above. Then you can sit in the placement drive exams. Over 150 companies visit our campus every year. In 2023-24 More than 1200 offers have been made. Companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM, etc come to our campus. The highest package this year was 59.5 LPA. More then 80% of the students get placed. My plans are to get a masters degree after the btech degree
Campus Life :
I like my campus and the atmosphere in my campus is appealing. We have an annual fest which is conducted in the month of February every year. Technical and non technical events are organized in this firTechnical and non-technical events are organized in this fest. It is a national level fest, so there are many people who come from other colleges also. We have a vast library And a lot of books are present. Very few students actually take the books, since it feels as if they are outdated. The classrooms are equipped with projectors. Though there are no Acs. There is a separate building which has been kept for sports and extracurricular activities in the campus. Our college has over 45 clubs which are of both technical and non-technical, which are run by students. The hostel in which I live is located only 500 m from the campus. The hostel is affordable and the food is vegetarian and average quality.

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
