- the patient load is high hence you get more clinical exposure
- being able to study with friends in the study room
- student discount on lab tests and medicines with free doctor consultation for students.
Dislikes
- as a North Indian I'm not well suited to the hostel food
- the language barrier is often a probelm
- we barely get vacations (no summer or winter breaks) we only get a sic day holiday afte both sessionals and a week after University exams That's all the holiday we get in a year
Remarks :
I chose this college because it was ranked #6 on NIRF. The infrastructure is good. The academics and people are also good. Cultural fests and programmes are conducted from time to time. The only struggle I have faced is being so far away from home and learning the language here is a real task as well but it's important in order to communicate with peers and patients. Admission can be take into the college only through the all India counselling done post the publishing of NEET scores on the nmc website.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is set by the national medical council. We have college for 4.5 years after which there's a compulsory in-house internship for a year- total duration of the course is 5.5 years. There's a lot of cover in terms of syllabus so you need to be very dedicated in order to pass exams that are conducted every now and then. The difficulty level is medium because one can score well if they read and listen to lectures regularly. It's important to avoid a backlog in order to score well. There 2 major exams- sessionals followed by pre-uni exams and finally the university exam (or professional exam). College timings are from 8am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. Faculty are experienced teachers who are available to help whenever required. Punctuality and discipline are important orelse you will find yourself kicked out of the class. The tution fees are 19LPA and fees for mess and hostel are 64000. No hostel rooms have AC and inductions are not allowed. The weather is hot and humid all year.
Campus Life :
The study load is a lot because the course is very vast. So there's barely any time to go out and party or such (at least in 1st yr). College is from 8am to 4pm. Clubs include the dance, music, drama, debate, quiz clubs and more. There's are cultural events from time to time and 1 batch trip and sports fest every year. The infrastructure is good. The classes and dissection labs have AC as well. We gave gallery classrooms with a podium for the lecturer. The library has a discussion room as well as a big study area. All books relevant to the curriculum are available. The lab instruments are also up to date.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel has a gym, a study room, a mess, a coffee Hut for snacks and a basketball court. The hostel is not air conditioned and curfew is at 9pm everyday. We are not allowed to get an induction. Everyone stays in twin-sharong rooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the mess. The food is served hot and freshly cooked. The menu is fixed and is repeated evey week.

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
