I had heard that the faculty was immensely skilled and educated. The teaching is amazing. They manage to teach us well along with managing their clinical side. Faculty is very hard working and always welcomes doubts. There are 2/3 sessional exams per year along with preuniversity and university exams. Exams are moderately difficult.
The main thing about this college that attracted me was the faculty. My dad is a doctor so he knew a lot of faculty from Amrita. The people staying around this place are also very generous and helpful. The helping staff the security guards are very cheerful and kind people. The patient service is very good. The learning experience is also amazing. I got into the college in the 2nd round in 2023. At that time u needed to have above 420 to get this college..I got 530. So I got in at the 1st try. As amrita is a deemed college u need to apply through all India round.

5th year is internship at the college itself and along with the tiring working hourse, you need to find time to study for your future exams for your career, the salary isn't bad to survive individually.
Read Full ReviewThe curriculum is set by the national medical council. We have college for 4.5 years after which there's a compulsory in-house internship for a year- total duration of the course is 5.5 years. There's a lot of cover in terms of syllabus so you need to be very dedicated in order to pass exams that are conducted every now and then. The difficulty level is medium because one can score well if they read and listen to lectures regularly. It's important to avoid a backlog in order to score well. There 2 major exams- sessionals followed by pre-uni exams and finally the university exam (or professional exam). College timings are from 8am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. Faculty are experienced teachers who are available to help whenever required. Punctuality and discipline are important orelse you will find yourself kicked out of the class. The tution fees are 19LPA and fees for mess and hostel are 64000. No hostel rooms have AC and inductions are not allowed. The weather is hot and humid all year.
I chose this college because it was ranked #6 on NIRF. The infrastructure is good. The academics and people are also good. Cultural fests and programmes are conducted from time to time. The only struggle I have faced is being so far away from home and learning the language here is a real task as well but it's important in order to communicate with peers and patients. Admission can be take into the college only through the all India counselling done post the publishing of NEET scores on the nmc website.
