MBBS at MOSC Medical College

What I Liked

• Quality infrastructure • Constant renewal and modernisation of hospital area • Experienced faculties
• There are lot of opportunities for research, presentations etc if one is interested. There are faculties who will take time to guide the students and help them in the same.

What I didn’t like

There is not much of a college life in the life of a medico. There is a monotonous life pattern that one ultimately falls into with only a limited margin for fun.
The college campus as such is not huge. There is limited college area, and it's mostly intermixed with the hospital.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties are well experienced and knowledgeable and teach through lectures, small group discussions, seminars etc. There are 3 part completion tests (sessionals) by college for internal examination and 1 university exam at the end of each year. The exams are moderate, and the evaluation is pretty strict.

Placement Experience:

There is a compulsory rotation of 1 year in every department of the hospital during internship during which we are exposed to a lot of real life scenarios and gain plenty of clinical experience and knowledge which will be essential for later life as a clinician. Internship period can mould one as a good doctor and affect choices like that of a masters degree.

What I Liked

Our college has a beautiful football ground which is the best in our zone
We also have a beautiful garden where we can sit and enjoy or study

What I didn’t like

There is curfew for students which is 8:30 pm
Mess should improve and provide better quality food

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it was my childhood dream to become a doctor and serve my country. The faculties of my college are excellent and they always help us to achieve great heights and pass with flying colors

Placement Experience:

Following the 4 years of course we have to do a 1 yr internship in all the departments of the hospital as a house surgeon with a decent pay of 15000 rupees monthly.After the internship we can continue as a junior doctor if needed

MOSC THROUGH ME

What I Liked

College is vast and very peaceful atmosphere. Provides best healthcare and treatment.
Campus Life is not like a typical college life. Our college have a very friendly atmosphere and the faculty is like a family.

What I didn’t like

Should provide many more workshops and skill development classes.
Need to improvise the concession for college students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be a doctor and serve the society is my vision. And I believe that I chose the best medical college. The method of teaching and assessment is so good. Weekly tests, Semester wise exams are provided for children's education.

Placement Experience:

After the course candidates can practice over any hospital with medical license. The college provides internship with stipend after four year course for an year. Practicing after internship can be made of personal choice.
