Established in 1999, KSHEMA Mangalore became a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University) in 2009. The MCI recognizes the institution. The Institution collaborates with international and national organizations like Wake Forest University, USA, University of Toronto, Canada, BARC Research Centre, Mangalore University, India, and St. John's Research Institute, India.

KSHEMA Mangalore offers MBBS as its flagship course. The fee for MBBS is INR 70.08 lakhs. The eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 with 50% marks (10% relaxation for SC/ST/Other categories) and studied PCB with English as a compulsory subject. The institute also offers a B.Sc program with 3 specializations. The fee for a B.Sc is INR 3.93 lakhs. The eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed 10+2 with 40% marks and studied PCB and English as compulsory subjects. The selection process is based on merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination. The total seat intake for this course is 30 per specialization.
