- Anatomy department and clinics are good and very helpful at the same time. They will teach you well.
- Events such as TedX is one of the only colleges in mangalore, hosted by ks hegde medical academy
Dislikes
- Campus life is nothing but just mere gossips circulating around you.
- Social life is what you can make out of the whole lot. Sorry but this is the reality
Remarks :
It’s an esteemed deemed university with NIRF under 50. Selection was purely merit-based through NEET counselling. The cut-off during the year 2021-22 was 423/720 (management quota). The college has good academics and is an official TEDX-accredited institution. Sports is also good but can be better. Ragging is uncommon here. A language barrier is seen among North Indians but can be managed easily with supportive environment. Like every other Indian medical college, stressful academics and a 75% attendance rule is a hardship here. Survival of the fittest best describes, living here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is NMC-based. You need to study and pass on your own. There is no such thing as the table activity that will pass you in exams. Teachers are highly professional and passionate about their jobs. Anatomy, pharmacology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology departments are amazingly good. Scholarships are not offered, sadly. Fees, currently are around 18L/annum for 4.5 years.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet, being a 3rd year student I don’t have the experience or knowledge to get an internship. Doctors need time to get a job. Getting a PG seat is the only way to get ahead in your career after MBBS.
Placement Experience :
We have an internship for 1 year compulsory but a tutoring job is offered after that as well which is as per your own choice. Salary is around 45000 per month. Earlier Karnataka used to give more opportunities but it is now restricting everything.
Campus Life :
Our college lacks club activities in general. Though it has a good basketball team and yearly cultural and sports meet. The infrastructure is good and in progress. Hostels need renovation and upgrading as soon as possible. Social life depends on your luck. People can be awful in colleges but if you want to do this course, you should come here.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are average and hostel mess needs a serious upgradation. Mess food is monotonous and outside food is also nonetheless same and expensive. The hostel authorities are patient and helpful but overall college needs to prove good food in their hostels.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
