- The infrastructure is latest and well maintained as per the latest medical standards with all the teaching essentials available
- Library is well stocked with well built reading rooms
Dislikes
- The campus is small in size and there are not many extracurricular events throughout the year to engage in except one or two
- The campus is about half an hour from the city which makes it difficult to travel in the hot and humid mangalore weather
Remarks :
The admission process requires one to clear the NEET UG cutoff and then participate in the MCC conducted AIQ counselling for Deemed colleges after deposition of security fee. One can prepare for NEET UG which consists of 3 subjects primarily, Physics, Chemistry and Biology via previous year papers, NCERT and a good question bank and test series. The college has a beautiful yet small campus with well established infrastructure, hospital and hostel and mess facilities for students to board, the travel from mangalore city to the campus is also very convenient in case someone decides to be a day scholars, there are a lot of PGs available around for rent as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of my desire for academic rigour and to be a part of the healthcare world being a doctor, also for the economic stability of the profession. The faculty is very well qualified with a range of qualifications from Phd tutors to MD/MS professors and sufficient number of faculty are there with a good student:teacher ratio. Comprehensive teaching methods combining conventional and technological approach are used, simlabs, hospital postings, small group discussions, large group lectures and practical demonstrations are held. Exams are conducted timely throughout the year thrice and are of signigficant difficulty level for both the theory and practicals for every subject.
Internships Opportunities :
NA (No such internships in between the course are offered in MBBS except after final year as compulsory 1 year house-surgeonship as mandated by the National Medical Commission for all MBBS graduates)
Placement Experience :
Since it is an MBBS degree, no such placements are offered anywhere across all colleges of India for it but a house job is there for 1 year after 4.5 years of course completion where we are posted of 1.5 months in all the hospital departments as an intern doctor, the stipend is 35000 per month which is increased reasonably each year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No such fee hike policy in place as of yet, the total cost of study is approx 75.6L for 4.5 years of study after which an MBBS intern is paid 35000 Rs per month as a stipend for a year.
Campus Life :
Different clubs such as dance and debate clubs are there which the students participate in. About 20,000 books and 18,000 journals are there in the library with multiple reading halls, a digital and a journal section and well stocked with the latest publications. An indoor stadium with facilities for tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball and table tennis is there, a well equipped AC gym is also there in the campus for the students and faculty. The food quality in the mess is decent and the menu is dynamic and keeps changing according to the seasonal vegetables available, both non veg and veg food are cooked with different variety of cuisines from different places.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
