Surana College - A Nightmare

- The location of the college is a plus point as it's easily connected with metro and a good network of buses.
- Rotaract club in the college was very active.
Dislikes
- The building is too small with not enough classrooms.
- No placement and internship offers. The brochure given during admission is a biggest scam.
- Very bad mannered and indecent crowd. You can find fights happening outside the college every other day.
Remarks :
I heard that the teachers were really good and helpful. The brochure given during admission had around 30 companies coming for placement. There were no tests or any as such for admission. We just had to give details of our past percentages.
Course Curriculum Overview :
But in reality the college was really worst. We didn't even have permanent classrooms, we were given classrooms which are free and used to change every period. The faculty too were just okay. Especially the computer science HOD was a big dickhead. He used to just come to class to boast about his daughter and his assets. We've heard about it around a 100 times. The teachers are too bossy and don't care to help us.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships given from the college side. We were not even asked to do any. We had to do a mini project on fast api during the final year. The training for that was given for which we had to pay 2000 extra per student.
Placement Experience :
There were no such thing called placement for pur batch. We didn't even have any training for placements. No one even bothered to helped us after our graduation too. They just wanted money and were happy to get it.
Campus Life :
The college has 1 cultural fest a year. There are very less number of books in the library. There's 1 sports event conducted yearly once. There are Rotaract club, NCC and NSS for students to join. The crowd is filled with lots of locals and indecent people. I was waiting to get out of the college after graduation. It's just a big NO for this college from my side.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

Course Curriculum Overview :
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
