It's one of the top central government hotel management colleges in India. Top in the north especially. An entrance “NCHM” is required which is a 12th-based entrance exam, just normal mathematics, reasoning, and English. The entrance wasn’t that hard, I prepared for it within a week. Later you can choose the colleges based on your rank. I chose this because it's close to my hometown, and it provides all the facilities that one needs in a college. Including a hostel, mess, cafeteria, auditorium, and much more. Cut-offs are based on quota. After selecting my college I went there and went to submit some documents, before visiting the college you selected, you need to visit your nearest ihm, to verify, later you have to visit the selected college, opt for a hostel, and submit the fees.
I chose this course as I’m in the food and beverage production department, and the college provides all the knowledge one must require, with practical and theoretical knowledge. The faculty were highly educated and professional. The timing was 9 am to 5 pm 9 am to 1 pm was practical class, from Monday to Friday, 1 pm to 2 pm was lunch break then 3 theory classes of 45-50 minutes each with 10-15 minutes break in each class. There were 6 semesters, one of 6 months, each semester had two mid-term exams and one end-term exam consisting of both the first and second mid-term syllabi. it isn't that hard if you have an interest in any subject, you’ll love them and it’ll get easier for you, even the way the faculties teach us, it's very easy to learn. Scholarship details were found on the college website.
I’ve done my industrial training from ITC Mughal, Agra. W every student is required to undergo 4 weeks of training in each 4 departments. Which are, food and beverage production, food and beverage service, front office, and accommodation operation. We are offered as Trainee in each department. In the kitchen we need to work out with the chefs to carry out the basic tasks, the same goes on in F&B. I’m in the front office the training goes in the back office and reception as well. In housekeeping, it usually occurs on the floor or pantry. Everyone needs to make a log book of every day to submit in the college, as well as training report too. And the stipend usually gets between 1000–3000
Attendance and marks are the major eligibility criteria for placement. Students can register their names with the college when a new recruiter comes in. For example, The Onerous Oberoi, Taj Group, ITC, Starbucks, Radisson, Marriott, and all major 5-star hotel chains. The highest package for freshers is approximately 3,50,500? to 4,00,000. Average package is 1,80,000? to 2,50,000 The percentage of students getting places is above 85-90% My plan after my degree is to plan for a start-up.
There were freshers and farewells each year of first-year students and last-year students. Along with unofficials held by students themselves. Many activities every month, lots of clubs, like photography, articles, and much more To explore while pursuing. There is a vast variety of books in the library. Every student is provided a library card. Each can borrow a book and journal for studying. Classrooms are basic with a bench and table. And the hostel is provided with a mess. Both girl's and boys' hostels are separated including mess. With a cyclic menu repeating every week. Food quality is good. I never complaint about anything. There are lots of nearby PGs with provide food as well as many private rooms where 2-4 students can live. With a walking distance of 10-15 minutes. And all the local shop's daily needs are very nearby.

I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
