Likes
- There are many clubs related to many aspects in cultural ,sports and tech sphere.
- The campus life is very good and peaceful for studying due to various amenities.
Dislikes
- Chennai during summer is hot which makes it a bit uncomfortable.
- There is hardly anything else that I dislike.
Remarks :
The admission process is through JEE advanced examination and it is based on the rank you have received in the exam. My rank was 630 and I got admission through the OBC quota, for general the cutoff is below 150 safely.
Course Curriculum Overview :
CSE at IITM is considered one of the best in the country, the placement statistics are also very good. Every faculty holds phds from some of the most reputed institutions in the world. The teaching method has been generationally carried out since the start and improved with the latest improvements in tech. The exams are held every semester and difficulty is based on the course but can be cleared.
Internships Opportunities :
There are internship drives done on the campus which I have received. Getting a good internship depends on the courses taken, competitive programming, and also the major taken. Projects in the internship depend on the role.
Placement Experience :
Every student in the 7th semester is eligible for placement. Some of the notable recruiters are Google(8 offers) Microsoft (10 offers) jp Morgan, Piramal, etc. The average package is 20lpa. A lot of students either go placed or have received PPOs from internships.
Campus Life :
Saarang is the cultural fest and shasthra is the tech fest conducted in January tentatively. The central library is the biggest. The sports facilities are very good with coaches and complexes for a large number of sports options. There are many Instagram Twitter Facebook pages. Hostel food is decent and registration is done through the hostel website. I lived in the IIT hostel.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college

College providers many placement to the students if you know arrears we should we have eligible to the placement and highest packages 21 lakh per annum and the average packages 9.5 lakhs per annum the minimum package is 4 lakhs per annum
