Entry is through the National Medical Entrance Exam (NEET-UG), followed by KCET counseling and choice filling. This college is not situated in metropolitan cities like Bangalore or Mysore, but in a rather suburban area, which attracts quite a good number of OPD from surrounding village area. This college won't spoon-feed you. If you have the desire to learn and experience, you shall get plenty of hands-on on.
There are govt seats, open seats, and management seats. Govt seats are roughly 85k per annum (only for Kar domicile students). Open seats are open to any student of any state (except NRI) at 3lpa and management seats are at 4lpa, to be reported directly to college after offline verification at KEA, Bangalore. Faculties are well-to-do, better than what you expect in a suburban college. As I've mentioned before, degree colleges won't spoon-feed you like school, you must have the desire to learn. Needless to mention the course curriculum. As instructed by DCI, it is a 4-year course and 1 year of compulsory rotatory house surgery at the college itself. No stipend is provided to interns.
Compulsory 1-year rotatory internship at home college itself with 3 months at community medicine. You will be asked to conduct oral health camps and rallies for oral health day or hygiene day, etc. No stipend is provided by the management to interns or PGs.
No medical institute offers job placement. You will have an ample amount of cases to get your hands on both, depending on your zeal to learn. If you are well equipped with skill set, you can kickstart your own clinic or pursue MDS.
Infrastructure is one of a kind. It is spread across a huge area. We had to get two-wheelers for traveling from the hostel to college, it's that gigantic campus. Also, it has its own medical college, physiotherapy, nursing, and paramedical College with a multi-specialty hospital running around the clock. Library is well equipped with books. There's an entire floor consisting of only dental books. There's a canteen and reading area separate. The reading area is strictly maintained silent by a librarian at all times. Use of mobile phones in the reading area is also prohibited. NDC has student clubs and they have the liberty to conduct events with the acknowledgment of staff in charge and principal. To speak of events, there are events around the year, both academic (webinars, conferences) and non-academical I won't vouch that hostel food is great Multi-culinary dishes are prepared every day and special dishes at local holidays or puja.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
