I made clear parameters for - tuition, fees, convenience fees, schedule, quality of teaching, spare Time, facility, faculty, ambiance, and other factors for all the colleges in Bangalore vs STIHL. Personally, SSSIHL checked more boxes than the rest and I took this decision based on logic and a view for the future and personal growth.
The college is deemed to be a university with 4 campuses. 3 for boys and 1 for girls. However, the girl's campus has the biggest area and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. It's a modern gurukula with really supportive staff and it works in a complex but seamless way. The alumni network of STIHL is strong and the workshops held every week truly enhance the skills of the students. The alma mater caters to the growth of every field and every aspect and that's been the motto all along - to develop the physical, mental, spiritual, and cultural aspects of every student and to make him/her a person of fine character and purpose.
Currently, I'm interning in the HR dept of Sheraton Grand, Whitefield. Accenture and Dell were some companies offering to recruit interns this summer break. The final year students of undergraduate and post-graduation get to interact with recruits and those with innovative ideas to start their businesses and have an incubation center where they get funded by VCs and Angel investors to kickstart the business models.
The university has a dedicated team for placements. The alumni network has recruited most graduates as they are top CEOs and recruiters. However, companies like TCS, Honda, Sundaram Finance, and other foreign companies have been some panelists during the placement season. Those who have opted for research have been given opportunities to study abroad and work overseas and we're completely funded by the institute itself based on scholarship and merit criteria.
The campus has many clubs - cultural self-reliance, cell, dance self-reliance, music self-reliance, event management, hostel management, AV club, and sports self-rel. The annual sports and cultural meet is much more like the Hogwarts Triwizard tournament except -all the students can participate and it happens every year. The champions are awarded annually and that's the pride of the institute. Every festival and national holiday is celebrated on campus with pomp and splendor and events like hackathons, lit treats, book club events, freshers' day, farewell, etc are spread over the years and it's eventful. The hostel is provided by the campus and it is mandatory to stay on campus. The registration is seamless as everything is taken care of by the university.
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
placements are good compared to many other college in the area. many companies like deloitte , hexaware , moldtek, ctrls, zf technologies, accenture , infosys, tcs, coditas, rithwik enterprises recruit every year from our college
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
