- The indoor facilities including the lack of air conditioning in the studios
- The fact that none of the official matters are stabilised and PDs aren’t approved.
Remarks :
I wrote JEE Paper 2 (B Arch) scoring AIR 274 and hence got admission here in the All India Category (General). It’s a decent government college in a nice city like Chandigarh. I’m from Delhi and the best option I found is CCA. It was established in 1961 making it one of the oldest institutions to study Architecture. The college itself is an Architectural Marvel, built by Ar. Aditya Prakash under the guidance of Master Architect Charles Eduard Jeanerette Gris Le Corbusier, who planned Chandigarh itself. The infrastructure is a 10/10 and the fact that most of the architectural vocabulary, you’d be able to find physically in the college itself. I prepared for JEE Paper 2 from NICS South Ex. It’s the best institution literally.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Course Curriculum is Intense and Vivid. The faculty members are either M Arch or perusing PHD. We’ve got a variety of subjects, Architectural Design being one of the main subjects. Unlike the other colleges, the college introduces us to Software in the 2nd Year instead of the first since they want us to build our basics. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
There’s an Architectural Firm in South Delhi, Studio Bipolar. I’m yet to complete my first year so I don’t have much to express right now regarding internships with stipend but yes I have applied for this firm Studio Bipolar and I’m awaiting a response.
Placement Experience :
Most of the Students from Chandigarh College Of Architecture are placed in Germany. Also, the senior-junior relationship that’s kept in mind throughout the course helps you get interned under your seniors in the firms. Eligibility Criteria for Placement in the course include a decent CGPA at the end of the course. But 90-95% of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to start with my firm.
Campus Life :
Since I’m from Delhi, I had to opt for Hostel Facilities. The food is amazing. You won’t have to eat the conventional Dal Rice, etc. You can order things like Pizza Sandwich, Cold Coffee, Oreo Shakes, etc. The quality is amazing. The Girls Hostel is in Sector 11 B and the fee is hardly 10,000 for 1 Year. We have an annual thing called Archo. Our college has a group known as CASA which is the Chandigarh Association for Students of Architecture. The Library at CCA is Asia’s biggest library for Architecture. There aren’t any Air Conditioners in the studios.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
