- Infrastructure - compared to government colleges It is extremely nice. There are a lot of facilities and tests available at quite affordable prizes compare to other private colleges.
- Faculty - they are all very talented and amazing doctors. They come from good colleges and backgrounds. The Senior of faculty has a lot of experience and excellent diagnosticians
Dislikes
- Mess - they could improve a little bit on the menu and food quality
- Wards - some general words are very difficult to be and as they are not air-conditioned but they are very cheap and convenient to more poor patients
Remarks :
Admission in post graduate courses is done through the NEET PG exam. The branch that you can take and the college that you get are all based on the rank that you achieve and the average percentile of that year. For the general category to get general medicine, the usual rank has to be between 4000 to 5000, for NRI it's much lower. There is no separate written test apart from Neet pg. I prepared throughout the internship.
Course Curriculum Overview :
General medicine in Manipal is very good. The Patient load is high. The professors/doctors are very qualified. You do get to see a lot of different types of cases from all over Karnataka, the HOD is extremely talented. There are small semester tests but they don’t add up to your grade. One major exam happens at the end of your PG and one minor exam End of every year. You are responsible for how much you learn. There are regular classes but first-year PG life in any course in any college is very difficult and you have to manage a lot of things. Second year things get a bit easier and you do have a lot more time to study. The first year goes into learning how to manage the Hospital, the exams are difficult especially if you are a first-year because you would not have had enough time to study. once you join the course there is no system of the hike. It’s only for consecutive years. They do provide scholarships for students ranking very high, but choosing Manipal over government colleges.
Placement Experience :
There is no system of placement in post graduation. You come to study the subject. You do get a lot of clinical exposure and chances to do procedures. They train you well. If you have been good throughout, then you can get a lot of recommendation letters from your professors which will help you get a job as a senior resident.
Campus Life :
Social life as a postgraduate is a bit hard to achieve as you will be extremely busy with your course. Fests do happen but PGs don’t end up participating as much. There are a lot of options for extracurricular activities including sports related, there is a beautiful sports complex that has all the facilities, academic and they are Student run only. The library has an extensive collection of books and journals which you could also borrow. It is a six-floor library with a curfew of midnight. The classrooms are mostly located inside the hospital but are well-air-conditioned and not overcrowded. The hostels range from cheap to expensive the cheaper ones are slightly Old but have all the basic amenities. The more expensive ones are very new and the rooms almost look like hotel rooms. The process for a hostel is easy and the affordability depends on what you choose. Second year most people prefer to move out. There are three messes around the campus and all of them are decent.

The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
