The admission process of this college is done through an entrance exam, namely the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination. The final rank is established based on the marks obtained in the entrance test and the 12th marks. The next step is the allotment process. We can list the colleges we want to opt for based on our preferences and also the courses we want to opt for. After that, we are allowed to a college based on our ranks. cut-off will be different for different categories. That's how I got into this college. I was already taking entrance coaching during my 11th and 12th classes. so I was practicing and preparing for this entrance exam. it's not necessary to take entrance coaching, one can get into a college without coaching too. I knew about this college as I know some of the passed out ones from the college and they had great experience from here. so this college was my first preference. the reason I chose EEE as the stream is because I was interested in it more.
As I said, I was interested in studying EEE, and that's why I chose this as my stream. and of course, it was an interesting course. It's a little tough and needs to work hard. The faculties of our department are highly qualified from reputed institutions. some of them also have practical knowledge due to their past work experiences as sub engineer and all. So they also give us an idea about the job sectors and industrial works. the faculties always support us in all our activities and they also guide us in seminars and projects. There are two internal exams which are conducted in 2 months gap with the first exam covering 50% of portions and the rest in the next exam. The exam questions were similar to the ones they put in the end-semester exam. so it was very helpful. I didn't have any scholarship because I was in the general category and also due to annual income contraints. but there are various scholarships available like e-grants, pragathi, etc.
so many students have done internships during the summer vacations. I haven't done any internships, because I focused more on courses to improve my skills. I have taken Python courses from the Coursera platform and also done courses on full-stack web development provided by Upskillz. our placement cell has provided the information regarding companies calling for internships. so it was really useful for the students. so many students have done internships in companies like Cochin Shipyard. some of the students from my class have done internships in KSEB and hydro power plants.
we have a placement cell that helps students prepare for the placement exams and interviews. we have got placement training from our 2nd year itself. The companies mainly approach during our 7th semester, which is the starting of the final year. various companies like L&T, Qburst, Indian Oil, Impaqtive, Applied Materials, ESAF, South Indian Bank, TATA Elxsi, TCS, J&J, Shobha constructions, cred AI, etc have conducted placement drives in our college. the salary package ranges between 3LPA to up to 13.2LPA. compared to last year's placements, this year's placement percentage of the students was a bit low, because the number of companies arrived decreased gradually. I am not into placements that much, as I want to opt for higher studies after this degree. but still, I did take some of the tests to experience what it looks like. i have also cleared the placement test for Qburst but got rejected during the interview due to a lack of knowledge in computer programming. but I take it as an experience.
Our college has various clubs including international clubs like IEEE, and SAE and national clubs like ISTE, NSS, and ICI. we also have a dance club, music club, sports club, robotic club-ROBOCEK, literature club, etc. Various activities have been conducted by the clubs that help us to embark on our extracurricular activities. One of the ISTE state convention fest (20th annual site state student annual convention) was conducted in our college January in the year 2022. ICI has also conducted a state-level tech fest in November 2022. various IEEE talks and meets are also conducted. we have a central library and also separate department libraries with a wide variety of books and journals that help us in making learning better. the journals, mainly IEEE journals have helped us in our seminars and projects. annual sports meet and arts day have been conducted every year. I was a day scholar, so can't tell them much about the hostel.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
