Several factors influenced me in choosing the college. Vidya is one of the top 10 colleges across Kerala. It consists of wide facilities with 30 acres of land, Btech, Mtech and MCA. One positive thing compared to other colleges was the (NBA) National Board of Accreditation. It is also a research centre for Doctoral research for EEE and CSE at Anna University. The faculties were highly graduated with PhDs and experiences. The negatives were the faculty members were strict in conducting certain events inside the campus and allowed programmes which included in the academic calendar. The cutoff marks were 10 marks in entrance exams and 50% in PCM. I prepared for entrance exams through the crash course for a month at Mercury Academy. The admission process was based on marks in 12th standard and entrance marks along with a show interview on self-introduction.
I chose the course because I'm interested in planning, and designing. I'm also fond of Cadd drawings. There are best-qualified faculty with more than 10 - 15 years of experience. Most of them completed their Ph.D. in top reputed colleges. The semester exams start 3 months from the beginning of the semester. There are also internal exams in between. The difficulty level is moderate but the lab exams in between make it a bit difficult. Overall the difficulty level is high compared to usual degree courses. The cost of study is on average 280000 to 350000. These increase slightly every 2 years. Scholarships are provided from 15k to 20k
Yes, I've opted for an internship at Cochin Shipyard in Kochi, Ernakulam. It was a 3 months internship workshop with top professional Engineers sharing their experiences. They offered a stipend of 5000 per month. It was a good experience to join their team. It provided a lot of practical knowledge in the site field. The project was the largest export order for the construction of new-generation wind farm commissioning and service support vessels.
Compared with other branches Civil Engg has the least placements. The eligibility criteria is there should not be supply after S8. The student is selected based on their performance in the interview. The average package offered is 200000 per annum and the least is 180000 per annum. The percentage of students selected is between 5 to 7%. My plan after getting my degree is to get placed at one of the great builders Hilite Groups in Kerala. After gathering experience I would like to migrate to Dubai Emaar Constructions which is one of the leading companies across the world. I'd like to provide my maximum contribution to the people through innovative ideas.
Techfest is conducted in February every year as per the timetable by the university. Arts Day is celebrated in March. The library consists of a vast collection of books including study materials along with question papers. All basic amenities are available for classrooms including projectors. The benches and desk are of good quality. Sports Day is celebrated along every branch with events such as the long jump, shot put, sprint etc. Mainly these events are competitive between the branches of engineering. These activities create a spirit between the students. There are social media pages such as Tharavadu for civil dept, and Royal mex for mechanical dept on Instagram.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
