The factors that made me choose Calicut Medical College were that, it had the highest patient load in the country and was also known to be the best medical college in my state. The college was all around the news during the Nipah outbreak and how they had managed to control it, then I used to watch YouTube videos and connect to seniors through various platforms to get my doubts about choosing the college. Finally considering all the facts I ended up choosing this college, and I'm glad that I chose this as my college. There were no interviews or written tests as such, it was all based on NEET rank and reservation basis, you would be provided an allotment letter by the respective allotment authority and a specific date to report to the college.
I chose this course because my grandparents were already doctors so I had some exposure to the field, which made me curious, and the respect that the doctors received awed me back in those days, which slowly brought me into the field. The faculties here have incomparable experience to that of any part of the world, and most of them are very helpful and ready to guide us whenever we approach them, the teaching methods are mostly lectures, small group discussions, and case presentations. Exams here are yearly exams conducted by the university and a few internal exams every 2 or 3 months. The fee structure is decided by the state government and usually doesn't hike, there are a lot of scholarships by central and state governments.
I have not opted for an internship yet, For MBBS in my state there is a one-year compulsory internship in our hospital where you would get paid 27000 per month. It is during the internship period that you get the most exposure and work like a doctor.
Being an MBBS student, there is no such thing as placement over here. Most of the students would go for PG after this. If not they could work in a Private hospital, go abroad start their clinic, or attempt public service exams and work for health services.
The campus life is great, it's packed with events and festivals, and we would have one thing or the other every other week or so. Academically we have a very functional library, reading rooms, and a learning resource centre everything you need to is there provided in the college. Sports and arts fest is also very active, starting from intra-batch events, inter-batch, inter medical college events. Hostel and mess food quality are decent, hostels are being renovated, on the bright side it's affordable as its mainly funded by the govt.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
