A detailed and my personal opinion about IIITDMJ.

- Firstly i like more about the nature and the seniors interaction in the college and also the seniors are very helpful and guided us very good and here it is also done from many years like the final years will guide prefinal and prefinal will guide the second years and like that. That caught me well and found to be very useful and also the faculty are very student friendly and also help us through various problems either academic or the non-academic one, we use to consult them and there is also counselling committee run by both students and faculty to help the student in their needs emotionally, that is the very good step by the college.
- when we come across the infrastructure it is decent and good looking and also the connectivity is good between the buildings and Lecture Hall and tutorial complex where all classes and exams go on is built very different and it is also equipped with Air conditioning. We also have nescafe , juiceshop, stationary shop, and Veg and Non-veg things seperate from college Mess.
Dislikes
- The only one which disappoints me is the College Mess. At first there is no Non-veg in the mess and slowly they brought the Non-veg too in menu as the new vendor came. but the quality of rice and other things are compromised and also the hygiene in the mess is not that good and it feels bad because it is very much essential thing for a human and i found that the college is not nutrious enough and i also personally lost over 5kg of weight.I feel that is the only thing which should not be compromised in the quality and taste.
- Other one is hostel. mainly my personal opinion is the hostel for first year student is not that good because there are many stains to be walls and also sometimes which is also said to be rarely the water is not available for bathing.it takes 2 or 3 hours to bring back it.in the summers i feel it is very much uncomfortable in the hostel without an cooler as the temperature hits 45+ celcius and also there is no Air conditioners in the rooms of hostel and the drinking water is decent and i think it should be improvised.
Remarks :
I am very particular about the cse branch so I made a list of colleges that I may get from the previous year's cutoff and I saw the item Jabalpur average package and campus life. I heard and I saw through the internet was good and also the faculty has good qualifications. The only thing for admission for me is through JEE MAINS and the previous year's cutoff was 15950 rank of JEE MAINS for CSE. No Group Discussions or Interviews or any written tests. The college atmosphere was good as the campus is full of greenery and also the sen interaction was really funny and interactive I also found it was very helpful in the coming days. The faculty was very student-friendly and the student senate was helpful to first-year students by helping them through various things. I would one thing that has to be improved in the college is the Mess Facility. As I belong to the southern part of India, The food they provide likely be not good for me and other than that it's good about the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was very much interested in CSE so I chose it. The faculty has good qualifications and many of them are postgraduates from IIT and they possess a good amount of knowledge. Maximum of the faculty are really good and are very helpful in teaching and most of them use PPTs to explain. The usage of the board is less comparatively. The Midsem is for 2 hours and the End sem is for 3 hours straight also the difficulty level is moderate for most of the subjects but the courses like probability were very hard. No one would score 70% marks. I saw the previous fee and there has been no change in fee for around 3 years the cost to study is also affordable as we have many scholarships provided by college, state government and the central government. We have Merit-cum-means scholarships for merit students and they are provided based on jee main rank for the first year and GPA-based for other years we have 1 scholarship for ST students and 1 scholarship for SC students by central government and state scholarships.
Campus Life :
The campus life is so cool with the mates I got in the college and also we have various fests and events in the college like Tarang in November and other club events like dance competitions, singing competitions and also religious events like Ganesh Chaturthi for 11 days and Ugadi for Telugu people, Pongal for Tamil people, Saraswati puja for Bengali people and Onam for Kerala People like many events go on and Tug of war was my favourite. There are many cultural and technical clubs. Programming club, shutter box- the photography club and robotics club, aero fabrication club and many more. The library consists of all the books needed for studies and also many journals available. The sports are very good has a good amount of equipments. We have cricket, Badminton, Athletics, volleyball, basket ball, lawn tennis, chess, carroms and also a gym, esports club privately, also the You Deserve One {YDO} website specially made on valentines Day.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University
Placement Experience :
The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.
An unexpected journey

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

There's a good amount of placement opportunities but the only minus point is the Training and placement department is same for the other branches of this college such as Lakshmi Naraine college of Technology and science bhopal

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
