IIITDM Jabalpur Admission Dates 2027

B.Tech and B.Des seats at IIITDM Jabalpur are assigned through centralised JoSAA counselling. For M.Tech, M.Des and Ph.D., the institute conducts its selection process after applicants meet the relevant entrance examination cutoff. IIITDM Jabalpur Courses and Fees

Across seven disciplines, IIITDM Jabalpur provides more than 30 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Its main undergraduate engineering degree is B.Tech, which has four branches with the same total fee for general-category students.

Smart Manufacturing is one of the institute's specialised branches and teaches Industry 4.0 technology, automation and advanced manufacturing methods. Developed as an important part of the India-Japan partnership, the Design department offers B.Des, M.Des and a Ph.D. in Design.

IIITDM Jabalpur Admission Process

Admission routes differ by study level. Undergraduate engineering and design seats use national examinations followed by central counselling, while postgraduate and doctoral applicants may also face an institute-level test or interview.

B.Tech Admission

A JEE Main score is the basis of B.Tech selection. After qualifying, applicants must register for JoSAA, enter IIITDM Jabalpur and their preferred branch during choice filling, and take part in the seat-allotment process.

• Eligibility: Pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, securing at least 75% in aggregate or 65% for SC/ST applicants

Among the four branches, CSE generally closes at a better, lower JEE Main rank than ECE, Mechanical Engineering and Smart Manufacturing because of student demand. Applicants can also participate in a CSAB special round after the JoSAA rounds finish.

B.Des Admission

For B.Des, applicants may come from any 10+2 stream but must have at least 75% aggregate, reduced to 65% for SC/ST students. Selection uses the UCEED score. IIT Bombay conducts UCEED, the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, and shortlisted applicants join JoSAA / CSAB counselling for seat allocation.

M.Tech and M.Des Admission

A valid score in the relevant GATE paper is required for M.Tech. M.Des applicants may submit a CEED score or a GATE score in the Design paper. IIITDM Jabalpur calls shortlisted students for a written test or interview before making the final selection. Industry-sponsored applicants can seek admission through a separate quota.

Ph.D. Admission

The institute accepts Ph.D. applications twice each year. Applicants need an M.Tech, M.Des, M.Sc or MA degree and must qualify through GATE, UGC NET or the institute entrance test. Final selection considers both a written test and an interview. Sponsored doctoral admission is also available through the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme for Electronics and IT, which carries a monthly fellowship of INR 18,000 to INR 25,000.

The 2024-25 graduating batch received 386+ placement offers from 100+ companies. The season's highest domestic salary was INR 75 LPA.

Employers based in Japan and other countries made 36 international offers, continuing the placement connection created by the institute's India-Japan partnership. Among students who secured jobs, 66.38% received packages above INR 10 LPA.

CRED, Harness, Oracle, Infosys, TCS, HCL, IBM, Accenture, L&T, JSW Steel and Morgan Stanley were among the confirmed domestic recruiters. The list of Japan-based employers included Panasonic Japan, Members Inc., Gusto Development Japan, Plaid Inc., Brainpad AAA and Akatsuki AI. IIITDM Jabalpur Scholarships

Students can seek financial help through institute-level and national scholarship programmes. For an SC or ST student enrolled in M.Tech, the complete 2-year fee falls to INR 37,800, much lower than the general-category amount because the scheme provides an almost complete tuition waiver.

Undergraduate students can use the National Scholarship Portal to find centrally sponsored awards linked to their 10+2 marks and family-income limits. Eligible applicants from Tamil Nadu, Telangana and other states can also have state-specific scholarships processed through NSP.

IIITDM Jabalpur Campus and Infrastructure

IIITDM Jabalpur occupies a 260-acre campus on Dumna Airport Road, close to Dumna Airport in Jabalpur. Its green setting is away from the city centre, and the campus was planned to support study in computer science, electronics, design and manufacturing.

Students have access to a central library, a computer centre with high-speed internet and specialised laboratories for design, CAD/CAM, mechatronics, VLSI and smart manufacturing research.
