It was my passion to do veterinary I opted for Bangalore College but I got in at Hassan Veterinary College through vci counselling it was the closest to Bangalore college hence I thought it'd be ideal
The course is like every other professional course it requires you to be dedicated to your work it's quite challenging yet it's very interesting, my suggestion for the people opting in would be don't come unless you have a passion for it you hate it. The faculties in Hassan in general are considered to be one of the best in Karnataka University including sports facilities. Scholarships are provided via the state government if you are through KCET or its via the VCI It costs you around 3.6 lakhs in general for the entire course but taking into living costs and additional fees it'll round off to around 4 lakhs.
Not right now but 5th year is a compulsory internship and it's provided by the university the internship programme is extensive and demands you to be very responsible the entire class is divided into batches and sent to appropriate locations for experiences it's a phase of your college life where your entrepreneurship can shine.
There are no placements for medical field you'd have to write the appropriate government exams for appropriate jobs but I'd suggest you opt for higher studies via writing the ICAR exams as it'll open up more opportunities for your growth.
The campus is very big but it's mostly empty the infrastructure is new and most of the facilities are useful it sounds bad but it ain't that bad. We don't have club activities here but our annual University sports events are highly looked after Hostel Life for the guys is bliss the weather here in Hassan is considered to be the best you'd have a fun time in general if you are looking for a quiet life but if you are someone from a bustling city you'd not quite like it here. Oh and by the way the college is in one corner of the town, it's accessible very easily the roads to the college aren't soo nice though but inside the campus the roads are top-notch, no I am not being sarcastic.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
