I am a native of Hassan lived here all of my life. I wanted to go for automobile engineering but as the automobile engineering sector isn't doing very well was recommended to go for mechanical engineering by friends and family. And I went for it as there was not a lot of difference. I chose this college as this is the best in our district and also because an uncle of mine had studied the same course at this college and he recommended me to join here. A score of JEE is required for admission.
The course curriculum is well structured covering most of the necessary topics for today's industrial standards. But I feel the syllabus is outdated for many courses and that is the case for most of the colleges in India. Academics can be subjective. If one is punctual and does their work on time there would be no problem. Faculties can be supportive but only when the student is willing. Fees are on the lower side. 20000 for CET and 18000 for the college every year.
I have not completed my internship yet. But for the students who are pursuing mechanical engineering there is in campus internship opportunity. The college has collaborated with Bosch Rexorth to provide internships to students. Their infrastructure is really good. But you'll have to pay 4000 bucks to join the internship.
There are facilities for in-campus internships. For mechanical students, there is a collaboration with Bosch Rexroth which offers internships. Placement opportunities for this year's mechanical students were phenomenal. 95% of students who applied for placement got placed. But the average package is not very high. It is around 3.5 LPA.
The campus is big. Green full of trees, plants, grass and lawn. There is a gym, swimming pool, football ground, indoor badminton court and a lot more. All different departments have different buildings. Workshops and labs are big. Some labs and workshops are even air-conditioned. But many buildings are old and need renovation. The library is also very large with the availability of a variety of books and journals and also with multiple copies. There are a lot of events and fests. Flash mobs keep happening very frequently. And also there are like 6-7 events every year. But not very good events like we get to see in colleges of Bangalore. There are also 10+ clubs run by students where you can develop your skills and engage socially. Also, there are a few events which conduct competitions like hackathon, entrepreneurship etc., There is a club called "MERIISE". It is the biggest club and they have done a lot. You can check their work on Instagram and also they have their website.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
