My experience at Zirtiri Residential Science College
Likes
- The environment is favourable since it is it is situated at the peak of the majestic Blue hills of Durtlang.
- The students studying here are highly respected since it's the most prestigious college in the State or even the Northeast India.
Dislikes
- Since it is located in the outskirts of the city,the bus route is quite long and take much time.It is quite difficult for the student to reach in time.
- The weather conditions of the college area is extremely cold during winter, which makes it unbearable for students coming from plain area or high temperature area states.
Remarks :
I have chosen this college because every year they have students secure top 10 and above in the university exam. The environment is beautiful with smart students. Since it is a science-only college, the students are dedicated, which motivated me to work hard and be sincere.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses offered in this college are vast in the science field. The faculties, academics, and other curricula are at the top. The fees are managed by the authorities to comfort all households of different income levels. Some scholarships can be applied by ST, NCC, etc.
Internships Opportunities :
Since there are no specific or permanent recruiters in this college, the placement cannot be rated highly, but trust me, if you study here with discipline and hard work, you will make your dream come true.
Placement Experience :
Although no specific placement is offered by this college, but many qualified and disciplined students are recruited by the government or private companies every year. As for me, after graduation, I plan to serve my nation through the military and I strongly believe that I will make it one way or the other.
Campus Life :
Every year, different functions like fresher social, and graduation day are held. Also, different organizations like NCC, NSS, and Evangelical organizations are in this college. College hostel or private hostel are situated near or inside the college at every comfortable fee.

I chose chemistry because it is interesting for me,most of the professors have completed their phd and are associate professors few are Professor,the teaching method is good tho, For the exams,Final is conducted in may for the Even semester and November for the Odd semester, the difficulty of the exams are quite moderate

The faculties are quite good. The faculties are very knowledgeable and the teaching assistant present at the labs are also pretty helpful. So for the exam, in a semester there is a mid semester exam and an end semester exam. During end sems you will also have your practical exams

Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the physics course as I am interested in pursuing further education in the field of physics. All of the teaching as well as the non teaching staffs are very experienced with most of them having more than 20+ years of teaching experience. They have all cleared PhD and they are helping us pursue our further goals. For each unit we have in our syllabus, three very qualified professors are assigned to teach us that unit according to the topics they have their qualifications in. For every semester, there are a total of 3 internal examinations and an end semester final exam. The three mid semester exams are CAT-I, CAT-II and CAT-III. The CAT-I usually starts from the 3rd month after the commencement of a new semester. The CAT-II is held 1-2 montths after the CAT-II. The end semester exams are held at the 5th month of a semester.
