First of all the biggest factor was its location, Bengaluru and another was that even though it is a private college it comes under VTU (Karnataka govt. Engineering university). It does have a renowned name in Bengaluru aur karnataka engineering college. I got in the information science branch at 8365 comedk rank.
The course is as every tier2 engineering college in the first year they will teach you maths physics chemistry to all branches. The faculties are nice(except for some). I think Karnataka students should get some scholarships. Fees are 10.6lac for 4 years and hostel+mess is 1.35lac/yr. Academics is hectic as it has class from 9 am-4 pm. We have 3 mid sem and 2 internals. First-year students do have to dress. Classes feel like school.
As I m first year there is no internship Opportunities. In college, paid internship Opportunities are few. Unpaid Opportunities we do get. Mostly the task is promotional, web development, and app development. Students do grab off-campus internships.
Placements and job opportunities are decent. Considering the recession. The highest Placement for this year was 28lpa. The average package for its branches is about 5-6lpa. Being in Bengaluru a lot of companies do come for Placements. Last year 140 came for Placements. Japanese companies also come for Placements. Eg phone, accentuate, etc.
The campus life is really good. Fest 'anadayanta' happens every year for 3 days in May. It is one of the best fests in comparison to another engineering college in Bengaluru. The clubs are really good. Most of the clubs are active and many have won competitions at prestigious colleges like it and all. Infrastructure is also good it has 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel with 1 mess. Mess food is decent. A sports team is also very nice we have won multiple champions at the VTU stage. Hostel+ mess costs you 1.35L Which is kinda of okay for Bengaluru as if you take pg it will be the same and the food won't be that good.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
