Likes
- The thing I like most about the college is the AC seminar hall. Most of the small events are conducted there and it's very comfortable. Also we have a big ground, a basket ball, vollyball, and a cricket court
- The main stage of our college is really very big and is helpful during group dances. We have 2 canteens in the college, one library and also a fountain. Akriti as I mentioned before I the best thing about the college.
Dislikes
- The tong is dislike is the canteen. The canteen is big but not big enough for the number of student. There is always rush during the lunch hour and not enough seating area for all the student and food is pretty expensive.
- The stationary shop of the college is very small and is run by a single aunty. So if many people come at the same time it a big message and very time consuming. You have to wait for a long time to get your work done
Remarks :
I chose Canara Engineering College because of its reputation. The admission can be done by either management or through KCET. The campus has good facilities, though it's a bit far from the city and the canteen food could be better. Overall, I’m happy with my choice
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum at Canara Engineering College is comprehensive. most of the faculty are m.tech graduates and have 5-12 years of teaching experience, and they use practical teaching methods. Sem exams are conducted every 3-4 months. Fees is pretty reasonable, though there are occasional hikes. The college also offers scholarships through SSP and NSP for financial assistance. Overall, the academics and support here are good.
Internships Opportunities :
There is no internship opportunity from the college but they conduct a lot of workshops and also give you one month period to opt for an internship and complete it within 30 days. The internship can be paid or unpaid.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities at Canara Engineering College are average like most colleges, with placements ranging from 3.6 to 21 lakh. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro regularly recruit from here. The eligibility criteria typically include academic performance and relevant skills. A good percentage of students secure placements each year, and I'm aiming for a career in software development post after graduation
Campus Life :
Life at Canara Engineering College is pretty average, especially if you are a hosteler you won't have many things to do. The infrastructure is good, with well-equipped classrooms and a library. The annual fest, "Akriti," held in May, is fantastic. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged. The hostel is clean and affordable, with decent food, and the registration process is simple. Local PG options are also available at a low price. Overall, it's a great mix of academics and social life.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
