The main thing that made me attracted towards this college was its openness and greenery the vibe it gave was amazing along with the unique course it offers. There is only one written exam for qualification into the engineering field in CUSAT. It is the CAT exam or common aptitude test. The cut-off rank for my course Safety and fire engineering was 3400 in the general category. I started my preparation alongside JEE mains and I started the coaching in 12th.
Safety and fire engineering provided me with a new field that does not require you to sit behind a desk. The main thing that attracted me was replacements and working conditions. Most of the teachers teaching there are very well qualified most of them even have PHD but the teaching method like most colleges is mediocre and could have been better. Exams are conducted every semester with two Indian exams each semester internal marks carry 50% of the total marks that can be secured. Lot of private scholarships like Reliance and Muthoot. However, the main college scholarship is given to the backward community namely the SC ST and EWS category.
Most first-year students are asked to do an internship in their local fire station to get a brief idea about the things that they are going to deal with in their future company. In the second year, the internship is to be expected in a large-scale industry and the third year is the main year for the internship some students have attended internships in Tata and Gail which offers experience before working in these fields and can give you the edge required to stand out during placements.
Eligibility criteria for fire and safety placements are mainly based on marks so to secure a high package you need to have at least 8.5 to have at least 8.5 sgpa. Some of the visited recruiters are CAIRN, GAIL and TATA. The most high-paying jobs are secured in oil and gas fields but recruitment also comes from construction and other related industries for example Larsen and Toubro Limited. Safety and fire has the highest percentage of students being placed with almost 100% placements for students with no backlogs I plan to work for 5 years after placement and then continue my studies abroad either in the UK or in the USA. This course offers a lot of scope out of India and upon taking the masters of this course the heights that can be achieved are unreal.
The current camp life is a bit dull. Nevertheless, another College fest Sargam cultural fest was conducted beautifully. The college hostel is only given to people with reservations but the college miss facility is given to everyone which I think is a great initiative because it offers delicious and quality food to students at an affordable rate. The library is pretty big and offers all the references that students need. There are a lot of social groups like IGBC and NSS that focus on the environment and human life development. There is also a website created by the alumni called Mesacusat which offers notes of the previous students and provides question papers for the students.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
