- The campus is one the biggest in the country. And there are no other government campus in the region that has a better infrastructure. There are many academic blocks, all equipped with the latest technologies. The campus is also very clean and beautiful, the greenery within the campus adds to the beauty and makes the campus cool and breezy even during summertime.
- The faculties are amazing. Since the faculty-to-student ratio is very good. Each students have a private mentorship opportunity, which is massively important for students.
Dislikes
- The placement and internship opportunities can be improved so much more.
- The institution is very strict regarding the attendance, perhaps they can be more lenient for some students.
Remarks :
The college is reputed as one the best college in northeast India and has one of the best infrastructure for a government college. The admission is conducted through PUCET and CUET, which can be given by anyone including international students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is a bit different from other central universities but it is nonetheless as good as theirs. The faculties are very qualified and capable. They are the best in their fields and come from all over the country. The exams were conducted much more frequent than other institutions, which is very important for the students' improvement.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities vary from year to year. Recently, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) came to the college and opened a Youth Employment Project for students free of cost. They train students for corporate work, and provide internship opportunities and also placement opportunities.
Placement Experience :
This is unfortunately one of the very few aspects where the college fails to deliver as a top institution. The placement opportunity is there, but it is there just for the sake of it. Only a very companies came, and the offer packages were not attractive at all. However, since the college has an eminent brand reputation, it will not be so much difficult to secure a job on your own within the state.
Campus Life :
MZU sports celebrations are held earlier in the year, which is a grand celebration on par with other big college festivals in the country. College week is held at mid-year. The college conducted a big festival for a whole week. Winter festivals are also often held, which are loved by even non-students. Youths from all parts of the city love to attend this festival. The college also has one of the best and undoubtedly the most beautiful library in the country. It is the perfect place to study. Sports is an important aspect of the college. It has many athletes that won competitions at the national level and even international level. You can find all sorts of co-curricular activities managed by the concerned clubs. Every student is encouraged to join one of their liking.
Hostel Facilities :
The college hostel is within the campus. And there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Even though I do not opt for the hostel, I can tell from my friends that the mess is mediocre only but it is very affordable. However, the seats are limited. But, there are many affordable PGs and flat for rent near the campus.

I chose chemistry because it is interesting for me,most of the professors have completed their phd and are associate professors few are Professor,the teaching method is good tho, For the exams,Final is conducted in may for the Even semester and November for the Odd semester, the difficulty of the exams are quite moderate

The faculties are quite good. The faculties are very knowledgeable and the teaching assistant present at the labs are also pretty helpful. So for the exam, in a semester there is a mid semester exam and an end semester exam. During end sems you will also have your practical exams

Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the physics course as I am interested in pursuing further education in the field of physics. All of the teaching as well as the non teaching staffs are very experienced with most of them having more than 20+ years of teaching experience. They have all cleared PhD and they are helping us pursue our further goals. For each unit we have in our syllabus, three very qualified professors are assigned to teach us that unit according to the topics they have their qualifications in. For every semester, there are a total of 3 internal examinations and an end semester final exam. The three mid semester exams are CAT-I, CAT-II and CAT-III. The CAT-I usually starts from the 3rd month after the commencement of a new semester. The CAT-II is held 1-2 montths after the CAT-II. The end semester exams are held at the 5th month of a semester.

There are no placements for science or arts. Some companies come for bba and bcom. But overall no one is placed. Some people get jobs but not a good job. They would get the same job if they don't do thisdegree too. Placements wise its 0.
