- Some faculty members were very hardworking and helpful. They wil help you until you are done .
- Cafeteria, food was very tasty and hygiene was maintained very well.
Dislikes
- Placements were not made as promised, not even a single company came for civil engineering department.
- Infrastructure was not good , just a single tower of 5 floors were there.
- No dedicated practical labs for core civil engineering subjects, some civil engineering tools like theodolite, auto level were there but they were kept in electrical lab.
Remarks :
Personal Interview and aptitude test were taken, my interview didn't go well but still I got selected. Admission was done based on JEE mains/adv scores or their entrance test or if you have scored more than 90% in class 12th then you will be admitted directly- no exam no interview. The cut-off was not shared for JEE mains/adv or their entrance test. For their entrance test, the paper was quite easy, like basic science/maths of class 11th & 12th some English grammar portion and some GK questions as well, for interview lasted for around 20 mins, and they asked basic science/maths formulas, self-information, general knowledge about your hometown and your interests and hobbies. But mine didn't end well as I was not able to recall some formulas.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was told during admission that jobs after this course are in high demand and students have already enrolled. Faculty members were very well qualified as they were M-Tech/PhD and the delivery I would say some members were very hardworking towards their students and some were like they didn't care, they just came to class delivered the lecture and left, they didn't care that if someone is understanding the delivery or not. End-term exams start after 4-4.5 months. Difficulty levels in core subjects were moderate-hard, depending on the subject. Talking about the fee hike policy it was a 10% hike every year. If the annual fee is? 1,20,000 for the first year then it will be? 1,32,000 for the second year and the same for the third and fourth years. It would cost you around 5.5-6 Lakhs on academics and extra spending depends upon your lifestyle and luxury level. Financial assistance was they give a study loan from a third party, can't say more on this because I didn't take any loan.
Internships Opportunities :
An internship of 45 days was provided. L&T Construction, Gammon Engineers and contractors, etc were a few companies No stipend. The role of intern engineer was given. I was working on a 12km long elevated road project, my task was to quality and quantity of the materials and learned to understand the bar bending schedule.
Placement Experience :
60% in academics to be eligible for placements. Federal Bank, TCS, Wipro, Airtel, by us, etc The latest highest package was 48lpa which only a single student got. The average package is around 4-5 lpa. I was not placed because no single company for the civil Engineering department came for recruitment as I was in the first batch of civil engineering. Now I am preparing for a government job after graduating in 2022.
Campus Life :
Talking honestly it didn't feel like a college, it was like a coaching centre because the infrastructure just had a building consisting of 5 floors which were in the middle of the town and small parking in the basement, only 8-10 cars were able to park there. The biggest fest they do every year is "Amiphoria" It happens every year in the month of mid-August to early September. Numerous activities and celebrities are being called (mostly singers or DJs). They book some hotels or function halls in the city to let it happen because the infrastructure is poor. General books and journals were available in the library, shortage of technical books for programmes like civil engg., CSE as the library was not so big, around 800sq.ft. In the name of amenities in classrooms, AC in classrooms was provided. Extracurricular activities usually happen every month like dance competitions, and singing competitions in the seminar hall. No social groups. No social clubs. No such website is run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
No hostels, you have to find your own place to stay or they suggest a hostel run by third party around 2 km away from the college. I used to live in a PG where it cost me around 7000 per month including food it was near 200 meters from the college food quality was homely. The range is every PG was same 7000-8000.

Placement Experience :
Placements for Mechatronics and Automation are average. Mostly service based and few automation or manufacturing companies visit the campus. Eligibility for placements is usually 60% aggregate with no backlogs. Some recruiters offer roles like graduate trainee, automation trainee and quality roles. Core branch offers are limited. Highest and average package is moderate and depends on company and role. Around 80% students get placed through campus. After completing my degree, I plan to improve my skills, do certifications and try for off-campus jobs in core automation field or go for higher studies.

faculty elected through Bihar government exam. their teacher method is really poor. one mid term exam including of attendance mark and project marks and one external exam 70 marks.exam level is not much difficult.

There are placement strike 99% so I will admission this college for build up my career there are placement are highest in bihar. There are placement are very easy process. Placements are different companies like wipro infosis tcs icici bank etc.

In BCA department placement are very good for students . Many companies like TCS , mahindra , wipro , and many local companies come in our campus for placement cell for students . Average package is around 4 lacs and maximum package is around 10 lacs in BCA department.

Review for B.Tech ECE at GEC Buxar (BEU)
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite outdated. 75% attendance is mandatory to give exams. Faculties are overall good and supportive in ECE branch. Every faculty is well qualified,most of them are phd degree holders or pursuing PhD from a reputed institute like IIT,NITs. End semester Exams occur every 5-6 months.And mid term is held between the semesters. ( One mid term each semester).Exams are quite difficult as it is not an autonomous University.End semester copy checking is not done properly. Improper markings are given to few students.

The placement of collage is good as compare to other private collage in Bihar. The year student will appear for placement and sit. So many recruiter are visited our collage like TCS, Wipro , Accenture , Bajaj , Tech Mahindra , and Americana. Near about 500 offer and students get multiple jobs whose percentage is 30. The highest package is 11 lakh as Associate engineer in Americana. The average is 3.6 lakh for data analyst. Near about 80 student get placed in campus of our collage. I want continue my study and complete my master from NIT.
