VKSU Arrah - Only good for getting a degree

- Things i like about my college are the faculty who are knowleagable and expereinced. The campus has basketball court, volleyball court and also a football ground which I like. The sports club is active and they help you when needed.
- The newly opened startup cell is also doing great work as the recently helped a startup get funding by the Bihar government.
Dislikes
- Things that I dislike about the college are infrequent classes. The classes are not conducted regularly and a lot of students don't even come to classes even if the classes are being conducted .
- The management is not that strict and if you don't come to classes , there aren't any harsh punishments given to you. There is a rule that if your attendance is not above 75% then youb will not be allowed to give exams but this is not followed that seriously.
Remarks :
I wanted a college that was close to my home. This college is in the town where I live so that I can focus more on my other competitive exams. The study load is a lot less than in other colleges in Bihar. The admission is based on your 12th standard marks. Usually, there are 3-4 merit lists released during the admission process. There are many colleges under Veer Kunwar Singh university. but only four of them are in Arrah town. These four are H.D. Jain College, Maharaja College, S.B. College, and JagJiwan College. During the admission process, place these colleges at the top of the priority list (exactly as I have written above) as they are the best colleges under VKSU. If you are unable to be admitted to your favorite college or don't get placed anywhere, there are two bonus rounds of admission which are the Sports round(for students with good sports records) and spot admission (if the seats remain vacant even after 3-4 merit lists).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I have always been interested in Physics and I want to become a teacher and teach physics. The faculty are well qualified for their job and their teaching methods are very engaging. The exams of my term were conducted about a month late but this was a one-time problem. The exams of session 2023-27 are conducted on time. The difficulty level was easy to moderate. The fee for my whole course cost me about 6200 only. If you are a female or someone from the SC/ST community, your fee can even be waived. The new sessions (2023 onwards ) cost a little bit more than my session (2022-25) but it is still minimal at around 10-12k (for the whole course). You can also benefit from all the scholarships under NSP and Bihar government also gives scholarships to female students and SC/ST students.
Placement Experience :
The placements and job opportunities are very few and the students are a lot. Every year, a job fair is organized and jobs are given based on your marks and the skills you have. If you are taking admission only for jobs then it's a very bad idea. The placements are also at local companies or companies like Amul that don't pay much. The percentage of students placed is very very low. Only 50-100 students are placed out of thousands. But there is a startup cell at my college and If you have an idea or a product or business, they can help you get funded by the Bihar government.
Campus Life :
There aren't any particular fests that are conducted but there are always small meetups, programs, and sports festivals happening. One such sports program is being conducted from August to December 2024. Many sports games will be organized which include badminton, tennis, cricket, football, table tennis, archery, javelin throw, handball, softball, kho-kho, kabaddi, and many more. Almost every college has a sports club and also cricket, football, badminton, etc clubs in which one can enroll. Each college under VKSU has its own library. My college has a huge library and you can find almost any book related to your subject matter.
Hostel Facilities :
There are hostels available but they are for SC/ST communities so if you are coming from outside the town then you will have to rent a room (which usually costs between 2-3k per month). If you belong to the SC/ST community then you will have to go to the hostel and register yourselves. The hostel fee is also very minimal and very affordable. I have rented a room near the college as it is close to the bus station and railway station. It costs me 2k per month.

Placements for Mechatronics and Automation are average. Mostly service based and few automation or manufacturing companies visit the campus. Eligibility for placements is usually 60% aggregate with no backlogs. Some recruiters offer roles like graduate trainee, automation trainee and quality roles. Core branch offers are limited. Highest and average package is moderate and depends on company and role. Around 80% students get placed through campus. After completing my degree, I plan to improve my skills, do certifications and try for off-campus jobs in core automation field or go for higher studies.

faculty elected through Bihar government exam. their teacher method is really poor. one mid term exam including of attendance mark and project marks and one external exam 70 marks.exam level is not much difficult.

In BCA department placement are very good for students . Many companies like TCS , mahindra , wipro , and many local companies come in our campus for placement cell for students . Average package is around 4 lacs and maximum package is around 10 lacs in BCA department.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite outdated. 75% attendance is mandatory to give exams. Faculties are overall good and supportive in ECE branch. Every faculty is well qualified,most of them are phd degree holders or pursuing PhD from a reputed institute like IIT,NITs. End semester Exams occur every 5-6 months.And mid term is held between the semesters. ( One mid term each semester).Exams are quite difficult as it is not an autonomous University.End semester copy checking is not done properly. Improper markings are given to few students.

The placement of collage is good as compare to other private collage in Bihar. The year student will appear for placement and sit. So many recruiter are visited our collage like TCS, Wipro , Accenture , Bajaj , Tech Mahindra , and Americana. Near about 500 offer and students get multiple jobs whose percentage is 30. The highest package is 11 lakh as Associate engineer in Americana. The average is 3.6 lakh for data analyst. Near about 80 student get placed in campus of our collage. I want continue my study and complete my master from NIT.
