Remarks :

The factors that made me choose this college us that I had gotten a bad rank and for my rank I could have gotten into this college the placement percentage was also decent when I researched this college, and I had even put all Bangalore colleges but could not get into any of them so ended up in this college. I had written COMEDK and KCET but I got in through COMEDK. The good aspects are that the college is surrounded by the environment and the trees and gardens are well maintained, a bus facility is also available for the students who require it, the classrooms and even the food court are air-conditioned but you don't feel the AC effect in the food court because they keep the temperature low to save money. Bad aspects are that the lecturers aren't that great and the college is located in the outskirts and there's no infrastructure around the college and from Mangalore, the college is an hour away. My rank was 48k in COMEDK and I'm not aware of the cutoff.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose CS (AIML) because AI has a future scope and I'm interested in programming and tech as well as learning about AI. The faculty are alright, but they don't know proper English, only a handful of them know good English and some teachers are just horrible, they have no idea of how to teach. The exams were conducted on time, but only the first sem exams were delayed since we didn't receive the USN from VTU and the difficulty level is fine, you can score well if you start from the beginning and do not keep studying for the last moment. The management fees are cheaper than the COMEDK fees which makes no sense and the fees are alright, they range from 1 to 3 lakh as far as I'm aware.

Internships Opportunities :

I'm still in the first year so I've not opted for any internships and I'm not aware of the available internship opportunities. Projects also start in the second or third year so I'm not aware of the projects as well.

Placement Experience :

I'm not aware of the placements as I'm still in the first year. The eligibility criteria is a good cgpa and no backlogs I guess but I'm not sure of this. Recruiters also I'm not aware of but there was a 50 LPA package offered to one of the students in the year 2024. The highest package is 50 LPA and the average is around 4.5 LPA I guess. I'm not aware of the percentage of students who are placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get placed in a company and work for 2 years and then go for my higher studies abroad and settle abroad. In case I'm not placed, I'll either go for my higher studies directly or look for a job and then complete my higher studies later.

Campus Life :

Fests in this college are horrible, only Sentia is alright but for the year 2024, it was horrible, the fest was only 2 days and some random singer was called for our fest. I don't remember when the fests were conducted and there's no particular month in which the fests are conducted. The books available in the library are plenty, we have some 3 or 4 libraries and all of them are air-conditioned. The classroom benches and chairs are not very comfortable but most of the classrooms are air conditioned. They use a projector and a whiteboard to teach, smart boards are expected but they're not there, and nothing is visible when you sit at the last, the projectors are faulty and not adjusted properly which makes it not very visible and they use white markers to write on board and some of them don't care of refilling them making the writing very light and not visible. There are clubs which are run by students, some of them are fashion and aim clubs, websites I'm not aware of.

Hostel Facilities :

Food quality is ok but the breakfast on certain days is horrible. The menu is one menu that is repeated continuously. The food provided is limited, only certain items are unlimited like bread, plain rice and curries. The hostel is affordable, they take a deposit of 20k and 60k was hostel fees for 2023 but it's 80k now for 2024 and the mess fee is 45100 approx. For registration, you just have to pay the fees and on a certain day which will be mentioned, they'll be allotting the rooms to the students. The hostel rooms are 2 sharing and only one study table is provided which doesn't allow 2 students to study at the same time. The temperature in the rooms is really hot and 1 fan is provided which is not sufficient. The hot water facility is only from 6 to 8 am but on the college website it says "24/7 hot water available" and it even says Wi-Fi is provided but Wi-Fi is not provided, and the network is really bad. The water in the washroom is black and gave me hair fall.

Quality Education In Minimal Fees

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

RVU from the POV of a Student

Course Curriculum Overview :

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
