- Campus life is amazing if the students are able to maintain a good relationship with eachother. I had great classmates that felt like family towards the end. The small campus enables us to be a part of the whole college of students. Everyone knows eachother and takes care of eachother.
- The college trip offered will get the students to be more closer than ever and the emotional bond you have to that campus will remain even after years of completing the course.
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit smaller compared to other campuses of the same university.
- The library is not impressive and students can't take their notebooks inside to refer and take notes of it. The seminar hall doubles as an auditorium and there is no separate hall for functiona.
Remarks :
MA aspirants were required to qualify for an entrance exam scheduled by the university. General knowledge regarding the area of English literature is a prerequisite to be eligible to do post-graduation on the university campus. In contrast to all other major university campuses, Kannur University has many campuses affiliated with it. The main campus is situated in Thavakara while subjects like English Literature, Anthropology, and Business Administration are handled on the Palayad university campus. Department of Studies in English offers sophisticated experience and exposure to the students and the faculty is adept in their areas of research and studies. The campus area is smaller compared to the main university campus but the atmosphere is cosy and nurturing to the mind.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum offers varied exposure to areas like Comparative Studies in English, Cultural studies, American Literature, Women's writings, British Prose, Fiction, Poetry and so on. Frequent seminars are conducted to build confidence and knowledge among the students. There are Faculty members whom the students might want to give the benefit of the doubt. But mostly, the Faculty is well-informed and updated in their methods. If the students are consistent in their studies, it is extremely easy to score great marks. Students who come from minority communities are offered e grantz scholarship and no major fees are deducted from them.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for an internship as I'm an English student. MBA students are offered placements by the department, the details of which are unknown to me. There are little campuses that offer placements to English students
Placement Experience :
No placement for English literature students, although they have a huge scope in the teaching field, journalism, advertisement, content creation and translation. The campus offers research facilities too. There are a lot of research scholars who aspire to gain a doctorate. You have to qualify for another entrance to do research on the same campus
Campus Life :
The campus life has to be built by the students themselves. They are free to venture into innovative spaces to discuss their academic life and others. There are no active sports teams or clubs unless the students take the initiative to maintain it. Arts Fest is conducted every year typically in June or July where anyone can participate and show off their unique talents. The library collection is not as impressive as the main campus library but the available books help with the offered courses. Social groups that involve sessions of discussions and debates are often made by the students but consistency and unity are keys to maintaining the tradition.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel has limited rooms, as of now and the rooms are provided to students coming from remote areas. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms. There is no attached mess as of now. The college canteen provides the hostellers with food. There are a lot of paying guest facilities near the college

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
