My college is a very famous college and have many branches throughout the whole Karnataka state. I heard this course through a friend. My college is also having placements and other privileges. One of the bad aspects I encountered is the department of tourism is a little bit small in terms of area and visibility. There are many students from all over the world who took their admission in our college and i have talked with them which lead me to understand about the other courses too, which are fascinating.
I chose this course because its a course which is so much underrated. There are many opportunities worldwide. Sector’s such as tourism, hospitality, aviation, front office and housekeeping etc… gives us wide range of possibilities for securing our future. The methods used for teaching us is very practical and good, and also the teachers keep good communication with the students. The examinations were totally on time and the exams were average hard. The subjects are easy and understandable
The last internship provided by the college was in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The job actually tougher than expected. My job was in filmi dunia, a ride combined with gift shop. I took my job in the sales section which helped me to overcome my fear of talking to clients and tourists. The stipend I received for my internship was 8000 rupees for 28 days. In college we even had to prepare a record and attend the viva regarding the internship.
The campus placements and job opportunities are high for this particular course due its vast industry. The eligibility criteria is of course taking the bachelor’s and master’s. VFS is a visa processing office and is hiring tourism students for now.
The detailed fee structure of my is college is 4.20 lakhs. Yearly we have about 65000 rupees. The course i am studying is actually no longer. The course has been removed and replaced with BTTM. If the student is in the minority side, there will be reduction in the whole fee structure. The admission fee for joining my course was 25000 rupees. There is no extra charges for uniform and books. The main fee paid except the tuition fee is the charges for industrial visit and other shows. The internship is provide by the college and thus there is no extra payment.
There are many festa conducted in our college. Many functions such as onam, diwali, ethnic day, freshers day etc are conducted on and off basis of departments. The library is average. Most books in the library covers the tourism topic. Many language clubs, eco clubs, social clubs are available for students to choose. The sports is conducted on another college ground due to city limitations and other functions such as travels trades, ODC etc are also conducted .
Our college does have a hostel, but most students are likely to stay outside by renting an apartment or opting for a paying guest facility. The food is actually preferred to by cooking, which is more efficient and healthy. It also saves money for students. The outside food is actually no good. Eating that on a daily basis leads to health problems. The locality of my apartment is near Nandini Layout bus stand, Rajajinagar, bengaluru.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
