My view on University of Mysore
Likes
- the wide campus, and its one of the oldest university in India and first university in Karnataka
- the clean campus and green trees and parks will defiantly grab your attention towards your studies.
Dislikes
- the management system they will make us to wait hours for any documents approvals
- the no such strict rules and regulation in the university.
Remarks :
The university has a good and wide campus full of green trees and parks its the best place to study alone, as I have mentioned the admission process will be based on the entrance exam wise, you have to write the PGCET Entrance exam to get admission to the university.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this mass communication and journalism course at this university because they offer various placements and media connections. the dos in Journalism and mass communication have a good reputation in the entire university we bring news journals every week and the department conducts forum activities and gives door assignments such as reporting, interviewing, and photography. the department has well well-equipped studio with advanced cameras. and also the faculties are well qualified and experienced they will solve any doubts and they response friendly.
Internships Opportunities :
currently, I'm in the first year when I reach to my final year I'm going for an internship the department will recommend you to the companies for an internship I don't know much about the stipend for my course-related internship but it will be around 5k per month. the major projects in an internship are reporting, proofreading, content writing copywriting, etc.
Placement Experience :
Only final year students will get placements, many national and multinational companies visit the university every year and the university also conducts job fairs where they provide a place for the pass-out students. the average package is 3lakhs per annum it depends on the companies. there are 70 percent of the students will get placements in the university every year, it all depends on the skills and knowledge of the student. my plan after getting a degree is I want to do my PhD that's it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The university conducts the PGCET Entrance exam every year for PG admissions. if you score more than 75 percent you will get a Scheme A seat that will cost around 14 to 15k per year. If you score less than 70 percent you will get a scheme B Seat that will cost around 35k per year, for SC, ST scheme A seat will cost less than 5k.
Campus Life :
Every year the university organizes a fest and they conduct various sports activities on the campus the campus has different cultures and people from various countries and states studying here. the university has a big library and it is one of the oldest and biggest libraries in Mysore city. which includes lakhs of books and journals. and well advanced classroom and infrastructure.
Hostel Facilities :
the university has 4 hostel blocks the food quality is ok but the rooms are not good and when it comes to the bathrooms it is not so clean. but overall I can rate food they will provide tasty food and weekly one-day veg. the admission process for the hostel is after your admission is done they will open the hostel admission portal you have to apply for rooms in that portal. shortly they will release the list of the students who got rooms.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
MSc Physics at Christ
Course Curriculum Overview :
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
